Dr. Munima Shaikh, MD

Munima Shaikh, MD, is triple-board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care, and is a member of the medical faculty at Palliative Care Specialists, an FHMG academic practice. Dr. Shaikh received her medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her internal medicine residency at the New York Medical College-affiliated Sound Shore Medical Center in Westchester, where she was awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year and named Administrative Chief Resident. She specializes in end-of-life care, geriatric education, inpatient care, medication and nutrition support, pain management, psychosocial support and symptom relief. Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Geriatric Society and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
