Dr. Naba Ayesha Sharif, MD

Great doctor. I've seen other doctors and no one has cared as much as she does. I think most doctors gave up on me because I'm not the easiest patient. But she makes sure I am able to get medication even when I can't afford it. What a great doctor.

I had a horrible rash that I had seen at least 6 doctors for over the past 3 years including dermatologists and allergists. No one could figure out what was wrong with me and I had tried several creams. It had gotten to the point where family members would tell me I really needed to get it looked at because people would look at me like I had a disease and would stay far away. It was turning black in some areas and was spreading all over. I was very self conscious about my skin and started to avoid public gatherings. I moved to Waldorf and saw Dr. Sharif because I wanted to try again and she had an opening in her schedule. I was desperate and I told her she was my last hope. She was so kind to me and empathized with how I felt and asked me lots of questions to try and understand my history. She was honest that she did not know exactly what it was, but she would run some tests and try out a few things that hadn't been tried yet one by one to see if something worked. She prescribed a… cleanser, some medications and some nose gel and explained that it could be a bacterial infection, which no one had had mentioned before. In only 1 week I could see an improvement and in 2 weeks my family noticed I looked dramatically different. I can honestly say that it was a miracle and I'm so glad I found her. She is sweet as pie and obviously smarter than all of those doctors that I have seen over the years because she really listened to me and tried and didn't give up where others had. I owe so much to her including my self-confidence!

Dr. Sharif was very impressive! I am so grateful for her getting to the root of my allergies and going over everything with me in so much detail. I've never had a doctor take so much time to ask questions and make sure she knew my entire history before giving me her recommendations. She not only treated me with respect but she even called me 2 weeks later to check up on me. I used to be biased against young doctors, but she changed my mind , she's absolutely brilliant and very much a people person!

I just saw Dr. Sharif on Friday in her Upper Marlboro office and both me and my 5-year-old son loved her! She gave him extra attention first and stickers after he got his skin tests and he was actually laughing walking out of the office. She spoke to me articulately and I really felt like she knew the latest updates about asthma and allergies. It was nice to see a young doctor with such poise. I'm actually looking forward to our appointments in a month.
