Dr. Nachum Levin, MD

Dr. Levin is an incredibly unprofessional and nasty person. I would not recommend. Please note he is not a Sports Medicine Dr. and has no idea what he is talking about. Problem with my hip is clearly indicated in previous medical records and x-rays previously taken by Lenox Hill Radiology and he did not seem to take anything seriously and dismissed my issues and pain.

came to Dr Levin due to my original Orthopedic who doesn’t specialize in hips, I’ve been having severe hip pain and wanted to know the diagnosis, he ordered x rays and a MRI I made a follow appointment and was told it’s minor arthritis “everyone has it “ was his exact words , I wanted a second opinion so I went to a rheumatologist who looked at both X-ray and mri and told me to contact Dr Levin again and ask him to look over the test results carefully because he sees a issue ( he’s not a orthopedic dr so there’s nothing he could do)I made another appointment a few months later , Dr Levin again insisted there wasn’t a issue nor did he offer any solution to my problem , actually he was offended I was even second guessing him and stated maybe it was Psychological I immediately left knowing I would never return , I was then referred to another Orthopedic by my primary who immediately ordered another MRI and found out I have a rare condition called PVNS it’s a giant cell tumor in my… hip which now I need a total hip replacement for , I truly wish instead of insisting there’s no issue he would have stated he didn’t know what’s going on , I was made to feel belittled questioning my own mental health as if I don’t know my own body , I would give Dr Levin 0 stars if I could.

Dr. Levin improved my life immensely after I suffered months in pain due to avascular necrosis of my right hip. That same day except for some minor post operative pain I was able to walk, sit down and extend my leg without pain. This skillful, caring and compassionate doctor operated just before the mayor's decision to have all elective surgeries postponed for months as he didn’t wish to leave me in pain. With respect to his staff, EVERYONE is kind, helpful and courteous, caring about patients. God bless Dr. Levin and his team!

My doctor and my friends recommended me doctor Levin. Now i can recommend doctor Levin myself.

Arrogant not confident. Pressured in time. Answeres only questions you ask instead of explaining options. Doesn't physically touch a patient, just looks at the xrays. M.A. was just as cold and also rude. I am blessed that there are other choices. It's either his way or the highway, but no explanation as to why. Likes to operate on those who don't ask questions since 5 minutes is what is required to convince an elderly patient to have surgery. Don't ask and you might like him. No bedside manner. NONE!!!! Doesn't even shake your hand.

My right foot was crushed in a car accident in 1997. The attending physician at the local hospital reviewed my injury and sent me to an expert, Dr. Nachum Levin. The next day, Dr. Levin accepted my case, brought in a team of experts and saved my foot. The clinical name for my injury is a Sub Talas Fracture. I was told that in all likelihood, I would not walk without the use of an apparatus. Thanks to Dr. Levin I had a long yet successful recovery and 19 years later I am still walking without an apparatus. I am not one to leave reviews although after reading unfavorable comments on Dr. Levin I felt compelled to share. I wasn't sent to Dr. Levin for his bedside manner or his fashion sense; I was sent to Dr. Levin b/c of his clinical expertise and best practice philosophy and practice. I have known others who had similar / less traumatic injuries who did not yield the same quality use of their limb, longevity or life. Dr. Levin is a clinical master at his craft and I am… fortunate to have been referred to him via 'word of mouth' all the way from Westchester county.

Dr was very rude,has NO bed side manner.He did not examine me,which I have learned from several Drs, this was VERY wrong on his part. Did NOT spend any more then 5 minutes with me.I have chosen Hospital for special surgery,instead of using this very POOR excuse of a DR

I will never return.This doctor is negligent and has poor bedside manner.I left his office feeling unsatisfied, worried and frightened.He is very rude and does not have compassion.The only thing he want is to do the surgery.I went for a second opinion and ended up having course of antibiotics.The pain in my joint was from an infection.If I would listen dr.Levin I would end up with unnecessary surgery.I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy!!!!!
