Dr. Nadine M La Fleur, PhD

she helped me through the tragic circumstance of my brothers suicide. She was caring, and patient and I felt safe. Her skills with helping with trauma was life saving.

My experience w/ Dr La Fleur helped w/ my anxiety and social interaction issues. It seems strange that some other patients apparently had different feelings. The dog mentioned is small and very calm. Dr La Fleur explained that it helps patients, mostly veterans, who suffer from PTSD. (Seems to me, if someone is uncomfortable w/ dogs, just ask the doctor to put it in the waiting room.) The techniques I learned continue to assist me w/ daily situations.

I should have read reviews before seeing her. 1st visit eventhough she had all my paperwork she still asked why I was there. She had her dog sit next to me without permission. She asked same questions over & over. There would be long pauses where I felt uncomfortable. I felt stupid talking to her because she looked very bored and in the end all she said was to see a different doc because my hours dont work with her schedule. Major waste of time!

I can’t explain what happened during my appointment with her. She was looking down at her clipboard and I was talking and sniffling/crying and I used the only/last tissue in the tissue box near me and I asked if she had any more kleenex; she never looked up or replied. I asked about five times and even banged the empty tissue box on the table trying to get her attention. No response from her. She was awake, her eyes were open looking at her clipboard. Is she deaf? Was she ignoring me as some kind of weird test? I will never know; I’m not going back. That wasn’t the only instance of her either ignoring or not understanding what I said. I half wondered if there was some kind of language barrier but she and I both speak English and neither one of us even has an accent. I had a weird disturbing and unhelpful experience with her. I hope others fare better.

I saw her for a while after a suicide attempt. She could never find my records and paid more attention to her dog asking if it wanted to go catch a squirrell. She was late or forgot I was coming half of the time. Guess I just didn' t matter to her. When I stopped going she didn' even notice that I quit. I don't recommend her to anyone.

Do. LaFleur has helped me so much for many years. She has always been there no matter the issue. I don’t what I would do without hey expertise. She is a Always punctual and professional. Now she is helping me with the recent loss of My husband. Thank you Dr. LaFleur.

Never have seen and psychologist who had her personal dog sit next to a patient during a session. Was the most uncomfortable doctor visit ever. Luckily I was only there for an evaluation. She didn’t even ask if it was ok for the dog to be there. Never talked about what I needed to be evaluated for. Felt more depressed when I left than when I first arrived.

Dr. la Fluer was a life send. I could not have transitioned to a healthy person without her.

I Just about came unglued. Very off putting made me feel like a perpatrator not a victim. Very disorganised. She seemed very non sympathetic.
