She did surgery to remove a growth in my throat, and, while I was still under anesthesia, the lab report came back showing I had cancer. She told my family, then told them they would have to tell me when I awoke because she had to leave! Family was appalled. It would certainly seem that some member of the medical team should be the one to tell a patient that he has cancer. This was several years ago, and we all have the opportunity to learn and grow over time, but this was pretty unbelievable. Also, told me later the radiation was going to "cook" me.

Dr. Roberge has seen 3 of my children. She is always so kind and loving towards them. She does not speak to me as if I am inferior, and she explains problems and corrective procedures thoroughly. She personally will call to answer questions. She goes far beyond what I have seen of other doctors. We love her!!

Years of trying to get my daughter diagnosed with visits to top specialist we never once had any doctor refer to to someone they felt could help, but instead told us that my daughter was Crazy and wanted to treat her with antidepressants. We refused to have her symptoms masked, but wanted answers, Dr. Roberge even said that she would be perfect for the poster child for depression. NO doctor or anyone should ever say something like this, NOT PROFESSIONAL! Well Dr. Roberge was wrong and turns out she has a very severe rare condition called Patulous Eustachian Tube. Thank you to the good doctors out there that keep up with medical training and knowledge. Oh and as for Accurate Diagnosis, 0 prefered, and Bedside manner, 0 also.

She seemed nice and took the time to also look into a separate problem, but overall I was disappointed because her suggested resolution to my primary problem was simply to take a medication. She diagnosed me with GERD (acid reflux) and I did not know what this was at the time. Since I did not know the cause of GERD, I did not realize that lifestyle and diet can have a significant impact. I realize many doctors may be reluctant to discuss lifestyle changes because they probably get a lot of push-back from uncooperative patients. However by virtue of their superior knowledge, I believe it is a doctor's responsibility to know when lifestyle changes are appropriate or highly beneficial to a particular condition, and initiate that conversation with patients who are receptive. Otherwise the medication is fighting what the patient is doing to herself. After the medication-only approach did not work, I did my own research. Then I stopped an excessive soda consumption habit and… experienced significant albeit not total relief. This doctor made no mention of diet; her only lifestyle-related statement was "Are you taking enough time for yourself and all that fun stuff?"
