Dr. Nataliya Ternopolska, MD

I have been having a lot of issues and Dr.Ternopolska is absolutely phenomenal. She takes time to explain things and is very thorough. She even sat with me to look at and go over my MRI's. I highly recommend her.

I was suffering from headachs and drooping eyelid. Dr. Ternopolska Nataliya diagnosed preliminary and after necessary tests this diagnosis was confirmed. So I am very grateful for your good care . She gave all explanations.of prognosis and treatment. She spent enough time to answer all questions.

I work health care and when I was in need of a neurologist, I did my research. I have MS and without the help and understanding and clear explanation from the doctor, I know my disease would have progressed further at this point. I have no doubt in my mind that Dr. Ternapolska does not get the kudos she deserves.

ON the second visit and after an first MRI and another contrasting MRI; as specialist in MS. She said that I did not have MS but I did have several mini hemorages. She explained what MS was to me and showed me on my MRI and how my MRI was different. I thought she was very good. She was the first neurologist that i ever had that actually explained everything.to me. As a college graduate, I was impressed.

My father was admitted to Abington Hospital because he was falling backwards and was having extreme difficulty walking. He was pretty much wheelchair bound. Dr. Ternopolska was assigned to review him. She walked in his room the first day and asked him some questions. Then told my mother she thought he had supra nuclear palsy. With a no explanation other than they were going to run a MRI on his brain and spine she left my mother to figure out what this strange disease was. My mother was hopeful because they were finally running tests. She came home that night and looked up the disease and started to cry. I told her to wait till we got answers from the tests. So the next day she was excited to hear his spine looked good. However the doctor stated he needed a spinal tap because his brain did not. So as they were going in to do the spinal tap doctor stated "Spine good. Brain not good." my mother found out from the nurses at Abington that he did not have meningitis and we never heard back… from the doctor for days. In the meantime we were wondering does he have this supra nuclear palsy or Parkinsons or something else. Someone at the hospital mentioned he had several TMA (recent mini-strokes), then another nurse said no he only had one mini stroke. The primary doctor assigned to oversee my dad's case in Abington stated that he had an acute stroke. But we only found this out because we were concerned that he was being transferred to Manor Care in Huntingdon Valley for rehab but we did not have any idea what was wrong with him. When my mother followed up with Dr. Ternopolska after my dad was released she was short with my mother and said she had signed off on the paperwork on Friday. She was rude and really provided no answers. Here ability to communicate what she learned from the tests to her patients was lacking. We are still in the dark and she failed to send the test results to our regular doctors. If you are her regular patient she maybe more attentive but her care and communications skills for Abington patients is deplorable at the best.
