Dr. Nataria Pitiyanuvath, MD

Was seen as hospital patient from the emergency room. I now know I was very likely experiencing my FIRST series of "staring." This is one of the many events that some of patients who have convulsions will manifest. After a battery of tests and persons of multiple specialties, all I think were physicians, but the contact time was so limited I have no guesses as to names. Have only now learned of Dr. P's name. She never sat during her maybe two visits in my hospital room. She was pregnant and carried a very large purse. On one visit she told me I would be dismissed by the physician who was the internist assigned to my case. When he visited he asked me to tell him what she had told me. So, I must assume, based on my verbal report: "I was to go home. Would be fine in a few days. Was just reaction to STRESS, Dr. P had told me and thus I related same to the internal medicine physician. In time and my abilities to cope with her misdiagnosis has caused me and my husband… GRIEF. I have continued "STARING" episodes and only after some months and four different medication are is my seizure disorder controlled by a physician which I later saw. Fortunately, the only trauma has been the limitations of the law of Tennessee, the emotional turmoils my husband and I continue to tolerate.
