This doctor has very poor bedside manners. He was dismissive and arrogant.

I used Dr. Modur because he is associated with UT Southwestern. Every doctor comes highly recommended and are usually the" The Brightest of the Bright". Dr Modur is in this category, but what good does it do to have a Bright Doctor if he is too busy to ever see you? I have uncontrolled seizures. (daily) I have had one appointment that was not cancelled( in 7 months) because of speaking engagements or other things the Doctor is involved in. The neglect of patients through UT Southwestern should be investigated. If these Doctors are more concerned about teaching and speaking then please do this full-time. You should not have patients if you have no time for them.

I've had epilepsy since age 14. Over the last 30 years I've seen four neurologists, each providing me with some assistance in controlling seizures.Dr. Modur went "full steam ahead", demonstrating not only true concern but a vast understanding of the available assessments and treatments.Following an inpatient (5 day) stay with 24 hr. EEG and video monitoring, he added one medication (Keppra). Since then, my seizures have decreased.He is a busy man, but he takes the necessary time with me, asking questions based on what he examines - not simply a canned spiel so often encountered among physicians. In short, my experience with Dr. Modur was one of the finest I've had with physicians.For those with neurological problems, I would highly recommend a visit with Dr. Modur. He is an excellent observer and assessor of neurological ailments.
