Dr. Nathan James Hall, MD

First off I like Dr Hall. But dont expect him to sign paper work. I was asking him to sign a work place arraignment form for my company. Since I am a diabetic and there are days I have either high or low blood glucose levels my company requires this paper work if I need time away from my desk. That is even time away to recover. (Without it I am not allowed to leave my desk except for breaks and lunch.) And so that I can see my doctor if needed. Keep in mind all this time is unpaid time off so its not like its getting a free vacation. After asking several times I finally ask why? His answer was there is no legal reason for him to sign it. He didnt go to medical school to fill out paper work and companies are creating a burden for him because of required paper work. He never once said he was unwilling to sign it because he doesnt feel that I meet the criteria. I have in fact been told by the American Diabetic Association that it might be best that I find a new doctor as there… are those just unwilling to sign paper work. So if youre feeling bad, Dr Hall might be for you. If you have a chronic health condition that falls under a WPA or FMLA you might want to see another Dr. As I said, he is a very nice person, just very myopic on this issue.

Dr Hall takes the time to get to know you and ask questions to treat you. He is also great to email and will call in prescriptions for you. His Nurse is one of the best .

The medical care that Dr. Hall has provided has been excellent in all areas. He is thorough, kind, compassionate and concerned. Dr. Hall takes the time to get to know his patients and seems truly concerned with their well-being. I am thrilled to be Dr. Hall's patient.

A specialist I had seen wanted me to follow up with my regular doctor. I was in the process of changing doctors and my appointment was set for 2 weeks out. When I told the specialist, he remarked that the doctor I was waiting to see was an excellent one but I needed the follow up immediately. He made the comment that there were other excellent doctors whom I might be able to see much sooner. He then provided a list for me and from it I chose Dr.Nathan Hall. I am so grateful for having to move my appointment up for it afforded me the opportunity to begin an association with the most caring, patient and knowledgeable doctor I have seen. Though Dr. Hall is younger than most of the doctors in the St. Thomas group, he certainly has to be one of the best. Because of his overall caring manner, I have referred family and friends. To top it off, his nurse is awesome. When I found out that she personally knew my opthalmology specialist who was treating me for a corneal disease, I just… somehow felt better all around. She always makes me feel comfortable while waiting for Dr. Hall to come in. I never have to make a list in order to cover everything I want to discuss with Dr. Hall because he NEVER rushes me through my appointment. His casual manner allows for me to just cover one thing and move easily into whatever other concerns I may have. He is then extremely thorough in diagnosing and treating the problem I may have. Never fear, if the medication does not do the job, you can get back in to see Dr. Hall in a very timely manner and he will work with you in all areas to bring some type of solution. He is also great in recommending that a specialist be involved if needed and offers to help you find one if you let him know that you have no clue where to go from there. I highly recommend Dr. Nathan Hall to anyone looking for a physician.

Dr. Hall is a great and passionate doctor. He listens when you are speaking and he will try his best to diagnose you. If if can't he sends you on to the specialist you need.
