Very disorganized about appointments and billing. Not sure how this office is still in business.

Would rate lower if I could. The worst doctor experience I have ever had -- stay away. I'm serving in Iraq and planned my leave around a visit to Dr. Desai well in advance. She refused to see me for a telemed appointment that they had already checked me in and charged me for. I have yet to be refunded. In the meantime, I came to find out that the office apparently had no record of the in-person appointment I had scheduled that I had painstakingly planned my leave around. When I tried to reschedule, they told me the doctor had no availability. I then tried to reschedule the telemed appointment I had already paid for. After rescheduling and hanging up with the receptionist, they called me back to cancel and told me that the doctor "didn't want to bother" because I'm overseas.. again, even though they had taken payment already. I don't know why she is so miserable and greedy, but I am sure it reflects in her practice. Find another endocrinologist. This one is not worth your time or the… emotional turmoil.

Terrible experience. Would not recommend this doctor. Makes it clear that she has no time for her patients, other than having you come into her office to charge for an office visit. Very condescending. Staff is terrible. Very difficult to get through to staff or the doctor on the telephone.

I had been going to her for 5-6 years, maybe longer. I had been diabetic since 2002. At first, she provided important information and prescribed meds for me to help my diabetes. 2 years ago, my blood sugar levels went through the roof (608). I tried to explain that I had not been able to afford the pens, but it fell on deaf ears which is ironic because I am deaf. She said she couldn't help me anymore. I was devastated; when I went to the same office, I got transferred to a new endocrinologist at her office. Problem was, all they did was add more meds. They failed to provide the RIGHT resources to assist me, i.e., diabetes and nutrition management; after transferring out to another endocrinologist, he sent me to the RIGHT place. I am now 25 pounds lighter and my diabetes is almost reversed. The gist of all this is, Dr. Desai COULD have sent me to Hunterdon Medical Center instead of Somerset...HMC has the RIGHT personnel...I used to take 7 meds; pretty soon, I will be taking only… 2. Dr. Desai needs to take crash courses in nutrition and understand how important it is to SUPPORT, not GIVE UP on any of her patients...for this reason, she gets 2 stars from me.

Why someone would go see her is beyond me. Just drop your money off at her office and go back home. might as well. the other doctor in her office has to question the main doctor for everything, so why even work there?

Dr Desai spent a lot of time with me and even gave me a list of items to help me.

Giving one star is too generous. For example, when I told her that I had lost over 30 lbs. without trying - her response was that I should lose more. (My weight loss was stabilized by insulin injection; prescribed by another physician). Her assessments were erroneous and sophomoric. Anyone with diabetes would be better served by looking for answers on WebMD.

I do not like this lady at all. I had my first visit with her after finding out a had a thyroid problem from my physician. Seeing her was a waste of time and money. She did nothing for me and didn't want to listen to what I had to say. She just said my problem is from weight gain and to see a nutritionist. I do not like her at all. She has a rude tone and when I told her I was confused she would say "that's not what I'm asking you". I do not reccomend her to anybody. She is a total waste of your time and money.

This is truly the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Saw me for about 2 minutes (not even) and gave me NO feedback. NOTHING. I have been dealing with a traumatizing issue for 4 years and finally went to an endo for NO compassion, NO answers, and really NO attention. If I could file a complaint that she should not get paid for my visit, I would- but it is more hassle than its worth.

The doctor seems attentive when you first become a patient but as time goes by you spend more time in her waiting room approximately 25 mins and she sees you for about 5 mins. Your questions and concerns seem to fall on deaf ears but she does adjusts your meds to achieve what is considered normal with respect to the numbers.
