Dr. Allen and Her team is excellent I would highly recommend her to anyone I know. My surgery was a success slim to none pain. Thank you for all u done for me giving me that chance to get out again

Very personable

I have been a patient of Dr. Allen's for about 10 years. She and her staff have always been courteous, professional, and helpful when I've called or gone into the office. I would recommend her to others because of the excellent service they provide.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Allen for almost 4 years and she’s done around 7 surgeries on me, and she’s saved my life. With severe UC, she’s given me my life back and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Dr. Allen may be a good doctor but her front office staff that answers the phone was VERY RUDE! Sorry, but you will not get our business! You never tell a potential patient that “we are busy seeing patients and don’t have the time right now, just send us a fax”. ??

Dr Allen and her PA, Olivia, are a great team. They are very thorough, attentive and advocates for their patients. She is also very good at explaining details of your procedures and conditions in terms that are very easy to understand which also mitigating the “uncertainty.”

I've been seeing Dr. Allen for a few years now referred by my gastroenterologist. She ran a few tests on me and started meds the first visit. The meds changed my life! I have nothing bad to say about her or her bedside manor. She's kind, listens and answers all my questions. I like her and she really helped me! I would definitely recommend her to others.

Best doctor I've ever had

I read the reviews on Dr. Allen prior to electing to see her. Curious maybe? Nobody could be as bad as the last two reviews, and she wasn't. Suffice it to say that I am extremely inquisitive of ALL doctors, regardless of speciality, and I ask tons of questions. But also, I must feel a personal connection with the physician. Dr. Allen & I established a most favorable comaradarie within the first minute. Aside from my procedure, I questioned her on pain management, post operative expectations, surgical methods, and even on procedures other than mine (for possible future reference). Dr. Allen passed my critique with flying colors. I found her personable, attentive, and informative, speaking on my level of knowledge. I had zero issues concerning my treatment. I also made a point to meet every person in her office and found them all to be friendly and attentive. As regards to pain, I must admit that, unlike some people, I have a very high pain tolerance, but I subscribe to a view… of starting low and working upwards when it comes to prescribing pain medication. No two people are the same and, you must admit, the doctor has no way of knowing whether you have a low or (like me) a high pain tolerance. I personally WILL return to Dr. Allen for any future problem I may develop that is within her speciality. I found only a minute difference between what I was expecting to pay, and the final bill.

Dr. Allen was recommended by Gastroenterology Consultants of Louisville however, Dr Allen was lacking in personable skills. Did not correctly identify the condition. We were charged three times more than we were told the exam would be. Would not recommend Dr. Allen to any of our friends.
