Dr. Kirkpatrick is the first Dr. we’ve seen (& there have been a lot) who actually understands what is going on with our child.

Dr. Kirkpatrick is an amazing therapist. He is very bright, skillful and thoughtful. It's obvious he is truly an expert in his field. He has a direct approach which comes off as caring and confident. Visiting him is well worth the wait and money!

Referred to Dr. Kirkpatrick for advise on out teenage son. Hoping for helpful advise we committed to the steep $250 per visit fee. We were surprised at his approach where he stood by a blackboard, lectured us and asked us to take notes. His approach was cold and his jokes were not welcomed. He communicated clear lack of care and empathy. He was clearly more interested in telling us stories of how brilliant he was in his previous positions than in learning about our case. He took pleasure outlining extreme situations and consequences he should implement with our child for egregious behavior. I was highly disappointed in his lack of care for us and our child. Expensive lesson learned.

I've been seeing Dr. Kirkpatrick for two years now. He is the most effective and helpful therapist I've ever seen. I started therapy in 9th grade and now I'm 39 yrs old. He has a way of communicating and listening that is genuine, knowledgable, professional, empathetic but direct and clear in what one needs to do to improve one's life and how to go about it. He's interested in what you have to say and how you feel and helps clarify your point and thoughts and emotions without being hurtful, though he is clear and doesn't give vague advice. He is incredibly smart and has a remarkable memory for what you're going through. I've grown so much and feel so much more equipped to deal with all my issues ever since I started going to Dr. Kirkpatrick. He really knows so much more than others I've seen and shares applicable advice to reach your goals and keeps you on track to accomplish your own goals. He makes you feel like he's really on your side and has your best interest at heart. I highly… recommend Dr. Kirkpatrick as the best therapist I've ever known.
