Dr. Nelofer Hashim Azad, MD

My mother is nearly 95 and is in a senior facility that has specified rules under Covid regarding doctor visits. Specifically, leaving the community for doctor visits is only allowed for emergencies and routine visits do not qualify. My mothers prescriptions have no more refills and when I called to request extension, the doctor was incredibly rude -telling me she would extend the meds for 10 days and after that “I could do what I like” and then hung up on me. Even after sending her the facilities rules, and requesting consideration as I am my mother’s medical power of attorney, She is insistent that my mother be taken first to a laboratory for bloodwork and then to the office in her medical building. At this point, I have not been able to see my mother nor have her grandchildren - they have not even begun controlled visits. It’s unconscionable that she is asking us to take this risk to have my mother be amongst strangers at two locations! Her prescription doses have not changed in… a quite a long time, and she’s having no issues. Not only do I feel this is an ethical violation but I feel we are actually being blackmailed.

Dr Azad is the best she cares about each of her patients like family. The 2 people who work with her in the office always greet you with a smile.

Maintains a small private practice, not an anonymous group, Never feel rushed, amenable to your ideas, checks to make sure providers in network, like family doctors used to be.

Dr. Azad has been the physician for several generations of my family, and for many years. She takes time for you. She listens to you. She provides the most excellent care and does it with compassion.

Dr. Azad has been my primary physician for approx. 15+ yrs. Iâ??m very grateful to the co-worker who recommended Dr. Azad when I was going a difficult time with my cancer treatments. Dr. Azad listens and is open to alternative treatment, not just the conventional. She isnâ??t one of those doctors who make you feel theyâ??re ready for the next patient before youâ??ve had a chance to discuss why you made the appointment in the first place. She may be typing while youâ??re talking but believe me she is listening and when she turns around youâ??re going to know she was listening. She has the best bedside manner, her entire staff does. After being her patient for several years my husband accompanied me to one of my visits, he was so impressed he switched from his long time primary physician to Dr. Azad and hasnâ??t regretted it. Thank you Dr. Azad and thank your staff for me also.

I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone asking for an internal medicine doctor. She quickly diagnosed my medical condition in her office which required surgery right away. She was right on with any medical issue I ever presented her. I no longer live in the area but I wish I still had her as my doctor.
