Dr Yamagata took the time to do a thorough examination, enter info into the computer then push back and explain things in depth. Actually took the time to show me my MRI results on line and explain what I was seeing! Excellent patient care!

This guy is horrible. After having him NOT look at all available data, he made a false diagnosis. Not only that he now schedules appointments and doesn’t tell us about them. He then bills us for missed appointments that he NEVER confirmed? We have reported him for insurance fraud! This guy is a hack.

Dr. Yamagata's calm, thorough explanation of my issue was a big relief. He made sure I understood everything, and answered all of my questions without hurrying me.

Doctor Yamagata has accurately diagnosed my extremely rare genetic neurologic disease and follows up with me regularly. He takes note of every change, or every oddity, in my condition and sets me up with tertiary care appropriate to diagnose and treat the new symptom or reaction. He never makes me feel as if he is rushing me out, I always feel as if I am the only patient he needs to see right then. I believe this is a result of excellent patient scheduling.Initially,I was a patient of Dr. Yamagata's previous office mate, and I liked him so well that I wasn't looking forward to the change. It took only two visits with Dr. Yamagata to convince me I had exchanged one excellent Neurologist for another...and when you have a condition such as mine, you better believe that only the best will do!

He was the worst doctor. I was in the ICU unconscious and he claimed he never knew who I was. He didn't want to take responsibility. I switched doctors and found someone who actually cared about me. I also had someone else give me a referreal to UCLA! Dr. Yamagata Is teh WORST unethical, doctor I've ever had. He is the only one around that is for 18+ DO NOT SEE HIM!!!!
