Dr. Nicole Summerour Carroll, MD

I was referred by my regular family doctor to an OB/GYN after having very difficult monthly menstrual periods. Luckily when I called the OB/GYN office Dr. Carroll had an opening. I did not know anything about her, I just was delighted to have an appointment and hopefully get some answers to end this monthly misery. During my first visit she spoke to me extensively and provided me with many options and suggestions. She also scheduled a vaginal ultrasound that later detected fibroids. Again at my next visit she talked to me about my options and took her time throughly explaining each one in detail. I never felt rushed and always left with all my questions answered. I was able to conclude that my best choice would be to have a hysterectomy. Within a month Dr. Carroll performed a hysterectomy on me. I write this review a few days post my operation and I am so blessed to have had such a wonderful doctor to take care of me. Already I feel like myself again. Dr. Carroll walked me through the… whole process before and after surgery. She addressed all concerns and answered all questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Carroll to anyone and I am very thankful for her.

I visited this MD for a routine procedure because my regular MD was out of the office. I arrived 30 min early for my appt and still had to wait for about an hour. The bedside manner from this MD and the nurse left something to be desired. There was little to no eye contact made while she was in the room with me, and I felt as though I was intruding on her day. She showed a little arrogance in my opinion, and I left there feeling as though she was more concerned with her appearance than my heath. Just my 2 cents. I will not see her ever again. She is a fairly young doctor (late 30-ish), and I'm not sure if you can "learn" bedside manner, but I'm sure she is very intelligent and hopefully she will improve and create a better relationship with her patients.

I went to this doctor a few months back and had a biopsy done on my uterus. Unbeknownst to me the excruciating pain this horrible procedure would cause. This butcher never even numbed me; Three days of this... Matter of fact, she, nor her assistant even handed me a tissus to wipe my tears! NEVER AGAIN! My reason for even going to this butcher in the first place was because I had a fibroid tumor. When she found out that I was no longer interested in having children she suggested I have a FULL hysterectomy. OH REALLY! Well, let me tell you, get a second opinion, because there are other options ladies. None of couse that SHE told me about. Lucky for me I have a wonderful doctor now.

Everything to her about my pregnancy was "normal" to her. Even when fainting and lightheadedness wasn't a big deal. Could choose when to be induced. I was very disappointed in the ultrasound tech also... She couldn't give me any indication she liked her job. I will never ever go back to this doctor again once my child is born. I am extremely disappointed.
