Dr. Nicole Teresa Jarvis, MD

Had a recurring issue that my GP could not seem to help. I am post menopausal and a lot of OB GYNs would rather not deal with me. She was kind and considerate, handled my problem and for the first time in months I am free of any discomfort. She and her staff were wonderful!

Dr Jarvis had my Pap smear wrong and recommended leap surgery which I did under her recommendation for cancer but came back negative. They said I should be happy. I left and was tested again and I don’t have HPV. Do not let people make money off your health.

Tried to get my 12 yo daughter in to see Dr. Jarvis for her first GYN app. Office staff was rude and aggressive. Computer system would not let us submit the paperwork (were told several times that was our fault). Dr. Jarvis cancelled her appointment because the paper work for a 12 yo with virtually no medical history was more important that treating the issues my daughter is having.

She missed diagnosed me with HPV come to find out I don’t even have it she told me my Pap smear was positive for cancer as I underwent anesthesia and leap procedure that was all came back negative. I do not recommend this doctor

Dr. Jarvis is an excellent doctor, very knowledgable, very gentle, she listens to you and she asks good questions. She diagnosed me and treated me very quickly I am very happy with her treatment.

My son worked with Dr. Jarvis, he told me she was a very good Dr.that she takes such wonderful care of her patients she is very confident the kind of doctor you want to take care of you. Very kind and sweet.

At the beginning of my pregnancy I was caught off guard by Dr. Jarvis' cold bedside manner. As time went on, I appreciated her very blunt approach. After I had my child, her whole office staff had changed 100%, from front desk to nurses. All are very rude and condescending and make me feel stupid for asking questions regarding my health. I have never been treated this way from ANY doctor including their staff. One of her nurses speaks very unprofessionally addressing me, "Hey, Girl...come'n girl, this way, girl...." maybe in an attempt to make me comfortable but then I asked her as a first time mom at 37 weeks if she thought my baby had "dropped." The nurses response was, "I don't know, can you breathe?" This is one example of many questions I have asked that were responded to with a question, making me feel ignorant. I have had serious problems since the birth of my child and they continually switch my birth control with no real effort to figure out what the problem is. I have… gone to the ER twice since they couldn't get me in when the pain was so severe. Prior to the ER visit, I called trying to get in with Dr. Jarvis for the persisting severe pain and bleeding, and was given an appointment weeks later. This was a serious issue and was and still has not been taken seriously. I was advised by another medical professional to immediately find a new OBGYN, which I have tried but as a new patient I have a month and a half to get in. I am still trying Dr. Jarvis in hopes she will make a real attempt to help me. I have an upcoming appointment and pray that I will be taken seriously and not treated like I am some kind of burden or that I am not really experiencing these issues. The pelvic pain and other symptoms have become so severe, that I am nearly unable to work and am given nothing to help manage the pain. I realize there are risks associated with pain medication but IBProfen is not helpful and I had to request and practically beg for ANYthing for the pain. I was given 5 tablets of pain medication which lasted for 3 days and was denied a refill weeks later. This office treated me like I am some sort of junkie on the street when I requested medication to ease the pain, when in fact I am very health-conscious and don't even consume alcohol. It is awful being a patient and feeling so helpless when the care given by the doctor is minimal to none. I call and call and don't know what else to do. My primary care doctor is now trying to figure out what the problem is due to the inadequate treatment and care I am receiving from Dr. Jarvis and her staff. I'm very sad and disappointed that I even have to write such a review since she was a great part of the most memorable day, the birth of my child, about 1 year ago. However, these health problems have gone untreated by Dr. Jarvis since my child was 3 months old and I feel like this could have been avoided or taken care of if I was seen and taken seriously many months ago. Now it is out of control and I feel like other people should know so they don't experience what I am going through. I know two other people who have had similar experiences, however, I still continued to try to receive treatment as she followed me through my entire pregnancy.

I was very impressed with Dr Jarvis. I am 60 (LPN for 40 yrs) and was having some "issues". She was very gentle during my exam and spent at least 20 mins or more discussing my options. I have never had a Dr spend time to just reassure me like she did. I have used Dr Bethel for YEARS and love her but was not able to get an appt for months. I needed to see someone now and Dr Jarvis "worked me in" the next day since I was so concerned, Her staff is awesome!! She is now my new GYN and I will highly recommend her.

I went to Dr. Jarvis after having a terrible experience with the delivery of my 1st child. My previous doctor had done everything that could be wrong (I have severe allergies and my prior dr said if I need non latex gloves, I had to supply them, seriously), and Dr. Jarvis eased my mind and was absolutely the nicest doctor I have ever met. Her nurses took the time to get to know me and my medical history, and took note of all of my allergies and the possible reactions to them. She is kind, and has an amazing bedside manner. She talks to you and calms any fears you may have while at the same time reassuring you that she is on top of any medical issues you may have. I ended with an induction, but she didn't force me to take it, she said we could wait it out if I wanted. There was no pressure during delivery either to take an epidural or not, she understood why I didn't want to (possible allergic reaction), and she supported my decision. Honestly she is the just the best at what she does,… I recommend her to everyone.
