One year later, update about my teen’s treatment with Doctor Nicole Law: I wish I had a good update, but that is not the case. Nicole has been counseling my teen for over 6 years now. She first alienated the child from father completely severing the contact for a total of 3 years. When the child became a teenager and wanted to reconcile with the father, Nicole tried to cover up mistakes made along years of therapy, but this time, alienating the teenager from the mother, causing irreparable loss of contact for over a year of precious time with family members and a dependency on her advice. If that was not enough trauma caused by this therapist, her arrogance took the best of her when she decided that she was the right professional to be the reconciliation therapist, which under any point of view, is a complete conflict of interests. Her last resort was an attempt to bully me, threatening me to intentionally leak the contents of our discussions to the judge presiding our divorce case. I… said ENOUGH. She has caused trauma, hurt and pain for a whole family. If along the way you meet specialized youth therapists such as Nicole Law and your opinion clashes with theirs , you have the right to say ENOUGH. Mother, father, follow your instincts and, if a mental health professional pretends to know everything, it is reason enough to close the door and never look back.

"Review about Doctor Nicole Law. There are people who have a beautiful speech but a terrible example. Doctor law has overstepped and crossed all possible boundaries as a psychologist with my then 16 yo teen, (including discussing her own divorce with my daughter) to the point of causing damage to the relationship between child/parent and completely undermining the parent's concerns while excusing the bad behavior of the child and blaming the parent for it. Very dismissive towards the parent and requests for a treatment plan. I never signed a released allowing the doctor to bring OTHER teenagers into the sessions and even if I asked her not to do that, without my authorization, she continued with the same line of treatment or lack of it. For other parents out there, be wise, a beautiful speech will not help if your child is charged and falls into the system. My child unfortunately did, and dr Law enabled the physicality of my child's behavior until there wasn't a way back. THE BLAME IS… NOT ALWAYS ON THE PARENTS SHOULDERS!!! Go elsewhere!! She is not the psychologist for you."
