Been seeing Rashid 4 years all dealings with her are favorable

It's the worst experience that we had with any of the eye doctors so far. We went for yearly vision exam which our vision insurance covers once ever year. we ended up having lot of medical tests for no reason and without informing us. when we question that the reason for the visit is refractory exam, her answer is go to mall to get it checked. she is very rude and has no compassion. our vision copay is $10 but she charged $ 50 because she was going to bill under medical exam, she threatened not to give glasses prescription unless we pay the bill. You have to pay money to request your own records as well, please keep this in mind before you go there. Initially she said she cannot bill both insurances but now she billed both medical and vision insurance as well. I do not believe in her prescription but we are stuck for another year as our vision insurance pays once every year. I hope she returns $40 back to us at least as she billed both insurances and also high level medical… visit for no reason. we have to see what our options are and how to proceed?? One of our family member went to another eye doctor not too far from there for refraction, they did not even ask medical insurance, just $10 copay, full eye exam and given glasses script. I would not recommend this doctor for any one with refractory problems unless you want to go there for some medical reason. You will end up with big bill for no reason and you are going to get scared with all the unnecessary information that you receive.

Any question I asked was met with a "whatever" you can do what you want attitude like I was bothering her. That is unprofessional and also uncaring. I was made to feel like a dollar sign....Educating your patients is part of your job, if you dont care maybe she should be in a field where you don't deal with patients. Wait time is a little excessive. I would not reccomend her to anyone ever.

Make sure you don't get an eye exam if there will be a medical diagnosis here. Insurance won't pay for it. They won't share this with you. I had to pay the entire $240 (ridiculous amount) even though our insurance covers one exam a year. They also charge a ridiculous additional $30 eye exam diagnosis fee that insurance won't pay. There are only a few street parking spaces on the whole block so you have to pre-pay a minimum of $2 for the first hour. We were there for almost 2 1/2 hours. I have called this office several times and they have never answered the phone. You have to leave a message and wait to be called back. Lastly, the doctor had a bad bedside manner. Never going back!

Dr. Rashid is so knowledgeable and willing to take time and to explain in detail your problem and how she will be treating you. My cataract surgery was not an easy process due to dry eye and an eye surgery of 15 years ago. She took her time, explained each step clearly, and made sure that I was comfortable with the idea of the surgery. The day of the surgery she was so good to me and great with my entire family. Her office staff is friendly and competent. She has helped me greatly.

I have been a patient of her father for many years. He gains my highest reviews. He retired recently. I knew the change would be difficult, but I wasn't prepared for what met me. A know-it-all, combative, youngster. She certainly doesn't have the bedside manner of her father. For the first time I left that office angry, confused, and upset. She may know her job but I will be looking for another ophthalmologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rashid for about 3 years. Have always been treated as the only patient she has and the office staff has been excellent as well.

If you don't want to pay the ridiculous cost of her glasses you have to pay a $40 fee to get your prescription. Her frame selection is small and not affordable.
