Nicole Haubrich, FNP

I am a Quincy native who obtained my initial degree at St Louis University. My medical career began in the Health Information Management Department at Saint Louis University. After a brief period in medical records I was asked to become a patient coordinator. Throughout my medical career I worked at a level one trauma facility in the Emergency Department, Cardinal Glennon children’s Medical Center, and SIU. While working at Cardinal Glennon in the Operating Room I decided to return to school in order to obtain my degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I enjoyed my time at Glennon as both an operating room nurse and scrub nurse, which led me to a position that entails both surgery and clinic. Upon completion of my Nurse Practitioner degree I found a job with SIU and returned to Quincy.

I believe in a world view of healing in contrast to a “cure”. Which means that I seek to understand a patient in the entirety of their lives related to their health and illness issues. I see myself as a …partner in healthcare and feel that the patient should take an active role in the healing process. I hope to utilize my care goals and values to make the best choice for the patient and family. My aim is to leave the patient feeling like their concerns were heard and that I provided them with realistic health treatment goals. I offer support to improve quality of life.
