When I met Dr Pereira, I was looking for my third clinic to treat my infertility after 13 devastating month at the other 2 clinics. He took then time to review all my results and came up with a plan that works best for me. He always replied to my emails or calls the same day. And he really cared about the outcome. I am now halfway through my pregnancy with a healthy baby and could not be more grateful for everything he’s done and encouragement he gave me throughout the process.

Despite the strong reputation of Cornell and its lab, we found Dr Pereira to be incredibly short and unengaged in our case. It has taken me and my husband a long time to come to grips with our infertility and we wish we had some compassion at our visit.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at this office. First of all, the office and its staff are bright and inviting, and despite frequently being packed with patients the usual wait is about 5-10 minutes even during peak rush hour. Dr. P himself is truly one of my favorite doctors that I have ever seen in any specialty. As others have said, he is warm, caring and FUNNY (a huge plus, to have a sense of humor about these things.) He was always patient answering all of my questions and answered any and all emails I sent in less than half a day, regardless of weekends or holidays. He made great jokes and conversation through sometimes uncomfortable procedures. But I think the most stand-out quality about Dr. P is his brilliance and his confidence. From the very first visit it was obvious to me that I was in the care of a top-notch professional in this field, and that there was nothing I was going to Google that he didn't know, or nothing another doctor could tell me that Dr.… P wasn't 10 steps ahead on. This is really important, otherwise you spend all your time wondering if you should switch care providers. On something as sensitive as my fertility, the most important thing to me was that from the day I met Dr. P I had no doubt in my mind that he would get us pregnant as soon as possible. This confidence let me feel safe and relax and just be patient through a process, a set of steps that we needed to get pregnant. It ended up taking only two cycles on the same issue that for friends of mine took almost a year. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Pereira and look forward to coming back for baby #2, if necessary!

Kind, succinct, and patient, Dr. P was an incredible fertility doctor. He answered all my questions in person and via email. He helped me get all the testing I needed and helped me avoid the testing I didn't. I would highly recommend Dr. P.

We've been to various fertility doctors and clinics, and Dr Pereira and his staff at Cornell Medicine is just BEST-IN-CLASS. We are so happy we found him. We are treated like family, which is truly what you need when you're trying to build one. Not sure who wrote the review about him saying he's not a nice person... probably a jealous competitor. Because Dr Pereira is probably one of the most genuinely kind person you'll ever meet.

Unfortunately I had to have a last minute D&C due to an empty gestational sac that began to miscarry while I was at my appointment at Cornell. My regular doctor was under the weather that day. Dr. Nigel Pereira stepped in and agreed to perform my D&C surgery last minute. He ordered an Uber for us to go the hospital and rode with me. He placed several calls on the ride to get me tacked onto the surgery list last minute and to clear everything with my insurance ahead of time. He kept the conversation positive and performed my successful D&C that afternoon. I can’t thank him enough for taking care of my needs during a difficult situation.

Amazing Doctor -he is super knowledgeable and compassionate.

Dr. Pereira is not only so knowledgeable about infertility, but clearly cares deeply for his patients. He stood by my side during my entire fertility journey and anyone would be lucky to have him as their physician.
