Dr. Nirali Jitendra Ghia, MD

Butcher Ghia- that’s who she is. She is no doctor. She purposely tore my wife up during the delivery (4th degree tear). She was dismissive and non responsive. She rolled her eyes while my wife was pushing- wanted to quickly get it over with. She did not use any numbing after she tore my wife up when she was suturing my wife. She was sitting there like a butcher while my wife was screaming in pain stating that she can feel the stitches. My wife asked multiple times for pain management and she was unresponsive. She said the epidural should be working. Half way through the stitching she then went ahead and gave lidocaine in the area. She threw scissors across the room yelling that they are dull and screaming at the nurses to get her another pair. Butcher Ghia- she has a history of tearing mothers and giving them 4th degree tears. I warn all mothers to stay away from this group. The chances of getting this Butcher to deliver your baby is very likely even though the other doctors in the… group are fine just avoid them at all cost. We had the hospital admin come and apologize to us about what had occurred but it seems that no action was taken due to the recent reviews. Again I warn all mothers to go somewhere else it is never too late.

I am 38 weeks pregnant and she could have cared less about me. I believe she lied about my cervical check just to move me along faster out of the room. I am praying I don’t have her for my delivery.

Man, I guess everyone has different expectations but my experience at Elmhurst Hospital & Dr Ghia was amazing. ( gonna be a long post ..) Truthfully when I first came I was looking for someone quick just to get answers from for my concerns (Not a perm doctor) cause she's so far from my home in Indiana. But in one visit I'm confident I've found the right doctor&staff for me and will be a long term patient. Totally worth the distance. The front desk lady was so funny/easy going (I wish I got her name, an older lady with a nice accent) and Maria was super kind & had a great personality. Dr Ghia WAS very quick (She's got other patients to see so I understand!) But she answered EVERY question and concern I had & I left with real hope my problems will be addressed/fixed. She gave me answers that made sense, and diminished all of my worries. She showed genuine care for me & what I was going through, just in a stern way! Also I thought the Tropical Tree picture above the table you lay on was… ~hilarious~?? Coming from a horrible OBGYN that was judgemental&rude (literally shamed me for having premarital sex and dating someone who has a child) spends 5 seconds with you & made me wait everytime an hour 1/2 to be seen.. I left here almost wanting to cry with how happy I was. I felt right at home. I'll happily drive 45 minutes to see her. I don't know how that will work out when the time comes when I have a baby with her being so far but I hope when it does it can still work out. Also, I was able to get into her way quicker than my other obgyn & seen much faster! Seriously, I wouldn't pay much thought to the negative reviews. This place is amazing. Thank you Dr Ghia & Your staff.

I started seeing Dr. Ghia after relocating here in 2014. I had been with my previous OB/Gyn in Boston for over 19 years and was apprehensive that I would find someone I was a comfortable with. Dr. Ghia is a terrific physician and has helped me through the final stages of menopause and surgery related to that. Dr. Ghia has always taken the time to answer my questions and has been very clear with me regarding her answers, her opinions and my options. I'm writing this review in particular because of some of the reviews saying that she is rushed and impersonal. My experience is very contrary to that and although I am past child bearing, I'd have been happy to have had her as my OB.

Not recommended her at all. She saw me in one minute.

She was one of the five doctors I had to met. She was the worst one of all. Didn't like her at all: Cold and irresistible, careless. Won't recommend to anyone.

I have been with Dr. Ghia for about 14 or 15 years. I absolutely love her! She is caring and doesn't rush our visits. She is always willing to answer any questions I have and explains things so that I understand. She was great throughout my entire pregnancy and just happened to be the doctor on call when I was in labor, which I was hoping for. She is a very down to earth but professional person in my opinion.

Compared to the others reviewing, I have absolutely no complaints! I'm flexible so I never have trouble getting an appointment at the time I request. If I do have to wait a few extra minutes, I understand that due to unforeseen circumstances, the appointment before mine may have taken a little longer. When I'm called into my appointment, we discuss the reason I'm there at the time and she asks if I have any questions or if there's anything we need to discuss since my last visit. She answers in terms that are understandable and doesn't leave you thinking "huh?". I don't understand the other's complaints - this is your doctor ladies, not your Mother. You are not her only patient for the day. She's easy to talk with and has a sense of humor. I am very satisfied with Dr. Ghia and am glad I found her.

I felt she was highly unreasonable and irresponsible.

Dr. Ghia,I have been with Dr. Ghia since 2003. Dr. Ghia spends enough time with me, diagnoses me correctly, and is a warm, caring, doctor.
