excellent Doctor,

I AM VERY DECEPTIVE OF HER. I DONT THINK IS FAIR AND PROFFESIONAL TO TELL A PATIENT LIKE SHE DID TO ME TELLING ME THAT I HAVE A KIND OF DEMENTIA AND THIS IS GOING TO WORSE WITH TIME, THIS IS CRUEL AND BESIDES IT IS NOT FAIR. MY PRIMARY DR. SENT ME THERE BECAUSE SHE WAS ATTENDING PATIENTS WITH MY INSURANCE BUT I NEVER EXPECTED A PROFFESIONAL TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT DIAGNOSTIC TO A PATIENT. BESIDES IT IS NOT TRUE. I KNOW ALL THE PROCESS AND I KNOW HOW AND WHY THIS PROBLEM BEGAN .. THIS COMMENT OF HER HAS CAUSED ME DEPRESSION AND I HOPE TO GET HELP FROM OTHER DR MORE ETHIC IN ORDER TO RECOVER MY MEMORY WHICH IS THE ONLY FUNCTION OF MY BRAIN THAT IS AFECTED ... ..

If I could give zero stars I would!! Our experience with Dr. Ribas was very negative. We sat in the waiting room for two hours!! When I finally asked how much longer, I was told “the doctor went to lunch. She’ll be back soon.” When she finally came in the room she was so rude. There was no apology, no hello, nothing but “what are you here for today?” Her attitude was NASTY!! She was condescending towards my elderly mother when she didn’t answer her questions fast enough. When my mom said she forgot her medication at home and could not remember the name, she told her very rudely she should never come to the doctor without the medication. My mom tried explaining she had it in the car to bring with her but when I offered to bring her, she forgot to grab it. She then asked what pharmacy she got her medication from and when my mom took a second to answer she turned to me and rolled her eyes and said “can you help me with this please?” When I asked questions about my mom’s… diagnosis and the medications, she raised her voice and literally told me “you need to reread your bible! You don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m the expert in this room, I’ve been doing this for 35 years! You’re speaking to a trained professional with a degree from Maryland......” and continued to list her credentials and awards well no one asked for your resume! Just simple questions to try to HELP ME UNDERSTAND what is going on with my mom. Then she started speaking into a microphone to dictate notes into my mom’s file. Her notes included things like “patient’s family refused the medication prescribed” which was NEVER said, so I had to stop her and tell her no one in her family has said any such thing! She continued dictating other inaccuracies which I also had to stop and correct her on. She then went on to tell my mom that the medicine she would be prescribing was a generic form of some medication. She said “it’s made in China and you WILL have side effects from it. It causes dizziness, bone loss, tremors, body rashes, depression, thoughts of suicide, and maybe even cancer! So if you don’t want to take it, that’s fine; but you’ll have to sign a form saying you’re refusing treatment!” My mom then said “well it seems like it will hurt me more than help me” and her answer was a short “yes.” When I again tried to ask questions about the medications being prescribed she again got upset and was quick to say “that’s just how medicine is today” We asked about getting her medical records from a recent ER visit and she got up and said “I don’t have them you never filled out a form” She then got up and said “let’s go so you can sign these papers.” As I tried asking more questions at the front desk she said “you know what? Maybe you should go get a second opinion since you don’t believe me!” And proceeded to tell the receptionist to find the number of another doctor at the Cleveland Clinic. The entire experience was horrible!! This woman had absolutely no patience, was rude, and very arrogant. I can’t imagine ANY patient feeling comfortable in her presence. She has no bedside manner what-so-ever. She should not be a doctor. Her patients are already suffering from some neurological disorder, many are elderly, they may be scared, or worried about what life will bring them, many aren’t able to express themselves the way they’d like to and her HORRIBLE, NASTY attitude is the last thing these people need. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT!!!!! RECOMMEND THIS WOMAN. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PARENTS TO HER. Or yourself for that matter. Find a health care professional who cares, will listen and answer questions, and has patience and consideration.

She sat down and took the time to find out the history of my headaches and answered any questions I had. She's really working with me to figure out the reason why I'm getting so many headaches and helping me understand the difference between the types headaches (which is more than I can say for the neurologist I was seeing previously). I finally feel like I found a doctor that is actually interested in my well being and not just interested in making another dollar. The only down side is the wait time.

When the ER doctors could not figure out what was wrong with my Son, Dr. Ribas came thru. She was able to diagnose the condition and saved my son's life. I will forever be in her debt.

If you want a serious studious extraordinarily trained neurologist, go and wait, like you do when you wait in line at McDonald's. If you can't wait for your health, and the doctor giving full attention to other patients, go elsewhere. Doctor gives full attention and time, as necessary, to each patient and treats the most serious of neurological diseases and disorders, which often takes time when the unexpected illness presents. Don't expect to tell Doctor what medicine you saw on TV or demand written excuses. You will receive her full attention and necessary time to diagnose, her opinion on your condition and her opinion on appropriate treatment. Nothing more, nothing less......

My Father is a patient and not only is it impossible to get an apointment with her, the front desk staff makes 0 attempt to assist with getting you in for an Emergency situation. My suggestion is stay clear of this physician, locate a group of doctors if possible. If your loved ones require attention this is not the office to come too.

I have been waiting more than 2 hours and its not the first time.

I didn't find anything good about this Dr. She came into the room and didn't even introduce herself. Started poking me and never uttered a word. Walked out after the test was done and didn't even say a word. When I asked the tech if she was always this discourteous with patients his response was :"You only came here for a test". She's very sweet with her regular patients. So, don't get any testing done at her office. Rude and wait was awful.

We arrived at 12:25pm for a 12:30 appointment. We finally saw the doctor 3 hours later. She then proceeded to exam my brother-in-law. This was our first visit. The exam was through, everything from calling our pharmacy to confirm his meds to in-depth physical movement levels, my brother-in-law has Parkinson's. She apologized for the wait time, explaining that her office is converting all the medical records to a new computer program. This is a place for serious people with serious problems, if you want jokes and laughs, try the comedy channel.
