Dr. Noah Converse, DO

I can tell you that with all the problems I have had with my back, Dr. and his staff were the best anyone could ask for. He is a top-notch surgeon and I would trust him again if I needed any work done. His staff is 5-star, they are always there to assist and help in any need or situation I had. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Dr. Converse performed the surgery to in-plant a Spinal Cord Stimulation Device that would have reduce my back pain, but instead injured my spinal cord that paralyzed my left leg, I am now not able to stand/walk, have regular bow moments and continuous UTIs. My life has been downhill since he performed this surgery and would not recommend anyone to him for this or similar back surgery.

I have a documented history of back problems...even lumbar surgery for bone on bone. Thoracic is now acting up and have gone to the ER now 4 times for extreme pain and temporary paralysis. Last time, the ER called Dr. Converse, whom I had seen before, and he said, "Don't come to this ER or have them call me again unless you have lost all bowel control and are completely paralyzed." Wow! Just WOW!

On May 12, 2020 Dr. Noah Converse did surgery on my lower back. I had a herniated disc, that allowed the nucleus of the disc to press against my sciatic nerve. The problem had become disabling over a period of about 10-12 years. It is now three weeks since surgery; I am doing well. Better than expected. This is the sixth time I have had surgery on my spine. The other five were the cervical spine. Without question, I have never been better cared for by the Surgeon, his office staff, the Anesthesiologist, Hospital Nursing staff, after care, etc. The list would be too long to name all the different people it takes to complete one surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Noah Converse, the Florida Institute of Neuroscience, and the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, to anyone that is in need of this type of health care. Mark A. Dufrene

Dr. Converse treated my mother in the ER/ICU for a subdural hematoma. He did a thorough physical exam, spent a good deal of time with me getting her health history, and swiftly performed a procedure to drain the blood from her brain. He reviewed all imaging, medications, procedures and treatments thoroughly and professionally. I can say that he would be my first choice if we ever need a neurosurgeon again and I will be recommending him to friends/patients!
