I saw Dr Scherrer after I started having pains in my legs walking. My PCP thought it was peripheral vascular disease and sent me to see him. He looked at my chart and told me to quit smoking and come back in 6 months. I was in tears as I tried explaining to him that I had no other things other than smoking that could lead to the disease. He wouldn't even discuss it with me. Just kept saying to quit smoking and come back in 6 months. I found another vascular surgeon that at least looked into it and referred me to a neurosurgeon. After x-rays it was determined I have scoliosis, so I was referred to a spine specialist where it was discovered after an MRI that I also have spinal stenosis. Requiring surgery before paralysis eventually happens. His lack of any kind of treatment of any kind delayed this diagnosis. There are much better surgeons out there.
