Dr. Nyamekye Laird, MD

Dr. Laird is one of THE most talented psychologists I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. She actively listens to you and offers advice that is truly helpful. If you want someone who will just let you complain, and not actually make the changes you need to make in your life — she is not the doctor for you, however. She actually wants you to heal. It was so refreshing to meet a professional who actually wants their patients to get better, who “work themselves out of a job.” I could not recommend her any more highly!!

Doctor/Patient relationship should be based on trust and NON judgement if you want to be successful in helping people. Dr. Laird frequently made me feel "judged" with disapproving words and facial expressions when you failed to meet her expectations for healing from one session to the next. Therapy consisted of WEEKLY homework, I would get 12 pages of paper printed from some website. Within the first month, she already didnt have enough time to see me weekly, even though I was willing and able to pay the steep $140 cash payment for 50 minutes. Her office also always smelled of cat urine? I did not find value in her services.
