We did not have a good experience.

All areas such as appointments, nurses, and social workers are absolutely wonderful! It was the meeting with Dr. Frankfurt that is stressful. After communicating concerns to the hospital about being placed under her care, Dr. Frankfurt called my mother's home and asked, "What's with all this drama?" Our first appointment in clinic, following the phone call, began with Dr. Frankfurt entering the room and saying, "Who wrote the angry email?" When we informed her about her behavior, she told us we need to go to another hospital. I plan to make further complaints to the hospital because when a hospital has a mission statement that focuses on the patient, and my family meets a rude and disrespectful doctor, then the hospital needs to be made aware that that doctor is not behaving in accordance with its mission. Rating "Spends Time with Me" has to do with quality. Dr. Frankfurt only wants to perform stem cell, and never discussed other options of treatment. Also, the doctor became… very defensive when my mother said she wants to get a second opinion. Well, the opinion from other physicians about a doctor like this has been "see how fast you can run" because something causing concern when you have a doctor don't trust to be honest, respectful, and offer full disclosure. ADVICE: Never allow a mean-spirited individual to frightening you from complaining. You have a right to disagree, express your concerns, and seek other opinions. But most of all -- if you have a loved one who is not comfortable, then please take care of them first. Not the ego of someone else.
