My son was suffering from extreme anxiety and had problems all throughout his life. It was difficult for him to do anything really. Dr. Waqhar worked with my son and helped him with therapy. He was actually able to help get my son's anxiety under control by using talk therapy and putting him on the right medications! He was accessible even in off hours and was more than eager to address any questions we had about my son's illness. GREAT DOCTOR!!!

Helped me out when I was at my worst

It takes a certain level of care to work with mental health patients. This was my first time going to a psychiatrists. It is very unfortunate that Dr. Waqhar was my first doctor. He showed very minimal interest in anything I was saying. He kept yawning, too. I suspected he wasn't even listening to me and this suspicion was confirmed when he asked me the same question, repeatedly. He didn't explain anything to me. He didn't say, this is why this is happening. He prescribed me drugs and when I asked the side effects he gave me a very big medical term that no non-doctor would understand. This guy obviously hasn't had enough patient interaction to know how to communicate with those he's supposed to be helping. Very unempathetic. He was actually quite rude. I tried to make conversation and he totally brushed me off. I had asked him what my diagnosis was. He told me he suspected I had paranoia disorder and something else. I had forgotten what he said when I got home. Since there was… nothing in the paperwork I was sent home with, I called the office back and the nurse informed me that the doctor said I had an anxiety disorder. I know for a fact that he didn't say anxiety disorder the first time I asked him. I am not at all comfortable in his ability to treat me as a doctor and have gone elsewhere, which I recommend you to do.
