Oran S. Aaronson, MD

Dr. Aaronson performed cervical spine surgery on me. He explained very thoroughly what the procedure would entail and what to expect during recovery. He is excellent at communication as well as having exceptional skills. The specialty hospital at which he does surgery is wonderful.

Dr. Aaronson is the best. My surgery was very intricate, but extremely successful. He is very skilled, and I had no surgical complications. I even received a benefit that he said only happens in 10 percent of cases. I would highly recommend him. Very personable, and his nurses are the most caring and concerned ever. Thank you.

Dr Aaronson did my corrective surgery for my neck stenosis almost ten years ago. He was very reassuring and patient with me before surgery. I had two other consultations before I finally chose Dr Aaronson. I have no regrets. I have severe back pain now and I look forward to seeing him. I have seen another Orthopedic Surgeon, but not very pleased with his service. I will not allow any doctor to do any surgery on my back, except Dr. Aaronson. He is sincere and honest. Felix

As long as everything goes well then you will have no problem. I pity you if it does not go well. I had surgery and everything seemed ok. 5 weeks after surgery I had swelling in my life back area. This caused extreme pain. He eventually had the fluid drained from my back. He told me that he could not see anything wrong on the MRI. I pleased with him to please do something. He said he would not go looking around without problems showing on my MRI. My condition worsened over the next 3 to 4 months. They last time I saw him he said that the only thing he could do is send me to a pain clinic to install a dorsal column stimulator. Because of his defensive manner when I questioned anything that he suggested that I do, I trusted my gut feeling and asked my primary care physician for his opinion. He thought that that was a bad idea based on my MRI. The same MRI that Dr. Aaronson saw no problem with. I saw two other doctors and both said there were obvious issues with my back based on the MRI… results. I had another MRI which showed that my condition had worsened. I finally had revision surgery and I am finally healing. I have suffered a lot of nerve damage that may never heal. Both doctors could NOT understand why Dr.Aaronson could not see the same thing that they did. Very disappointed in my experience. Dr Allen had been my surgeon in the past until his retirement. He was a great doctor. Dr Aaronson took his place. He is no Dr Allen ! I will be lucky if this experience does not cost me my job of 35 years due to the severe nerve damage suffered from Dr Aaronsons lack of corrective action.

I love Dr Aaronson and his staff. I could not of ask for better treatment. He done surgery on my back Dec. 27 2017 and the hurt in my legs is gone. I was treated like a queen when in the hospital. I would tell everyone about him he is a very good Dr. I left a message already but its not been posted so here is another one. Can't say enough about a good Dr. Mary Price

consider it an honor to have met this dr. My situation is not desirable for any neurosurgeon and Dr Aaronson give some hope. He took time to research options and was very honest in saying he didn't think he could help me. He was kind and quick with offering referrals. Couldn't say enough for his compassion and willingness to find help!

He did surgery on my back and put in 2 rods and 8 screws. Did surgery on L3 4 5 and s1. I was left with numbness in my saddle area that has caused significant problems. I was sent home from the hospital with a catheter and no bm after leaving the hospital in one week. After one day I had to be admitted to a rehab clinic for treatment and an outpatient clinic for therepy after that . I still have a lot of pain and bowel problems as the nerve damage does not allow my brain to send the messages for proper bm's. He does have a good bedside manner but on the first visit before ever seeing me or introducing himself he let me know that I was late and he was always on time and he expected his patients to also be on time. We live about 200 miles away from this place and got lost. Were probably no more than 10 min late at the most and we called them to get them to help us find the place when we could not find it. He says he has never heard of my problem and never has used the… word nerve damage . I know it because I have had 3 other doctors to tell me I do after having test done. I am still going to pursue other options to try and correct this problem if i can. Perhaps another neurosurgeon can tell me more.

Dr. Aaronson is the only one I will see in the future.

I had a multi-level cervical spine fusion and discectomy in 2005 with amazing results. Dr. Aaronson provided me with the finest care. I was sitting back at my desk in my office a mere 12 after my surgery. Eight years later I have a full range of motion in my neck. Dr. Aaronson was prompt, caring, thoughtful and very involved in my recovery. Vandy has a wonderful asset in Dr. Aaronson.
