Dr. Orlando Fernandez, MD

THE WORST MEDICAL CARE i HAVE EVER SEEN THE WORST! I have had 3 appointments with Dr. Fernandez but never saw him. I saw a woman that did not speak any English, she didn't know why I was there, could not answer any questions about my treatment and she told me I was fine! As in 'go home and come back in 3 months for follow up' My next appointment I specified that I wanted to see the DOCTOR, who I had never met. He entered the room looking at his phone and barely looked at me, did not have any idea of my medical history, didn't even know my diagnosis or my labs or medications, and made a follow up plan with me verbally that was not at all the same as the visit summary, including prescriptions! I then went to another Dr. that specializes in my condition (hyperparathyroidism) and she told me all the reasons that his plan for my treatment would not be the recommended or acceptable course for me. and I am on a totally new medical plan. Thank goodness I know enough to be proactive for myself… and not to follow poor medical advice. I truly feel badly for those who have to trust and rely on a bad Dr.

Very late for a scheduled diagnostic test. Left lying on the table for extended period of time. There was no explaination in advance of the test to advise what was involved in the procedure; the invasive procedure using several needles. Extremely rough and abrupt. Required several calls from primary physician to get test results.Would never refer anyone to this person.

I do not even know where to begin. I was lost for words when I left this Dr. appointment. It was my first appointment with this Dr. I waited 40 minutes in the room just for the Dr. to come in. The Dr. then finally comes in, sits down, looks at me and says to me, what can I do for you. Mind you, I brought in all of my lab work results I recently had done to go over with this Dr. I started to explain to this Dr. my health concerns/issues. He interrupts me after only being in the room for a minute and just pushes medication on me. He walks out comes back and hands me medication and says to me I will see you in a couple months. Does not take the moment to explain anything to me, nothing! I paid for my visit to wait 40 minutes to see the Dr. and for the Dr. to come in for no more than 2 minutes the whole visit. Reminding you this was my very first appointment with this Dr. It was so unprofessional and I would NOT recommend ANYONE to this Dr. That was the worst experience I have had with a… Dr.

Run while you can unless you want to see a Circus show.

Dr. Orlando Hernandez wasted my time and made me come back twice just to get a prescription filled! The office manager is unfriendly and never follows up. I've called the office few times regarding my prescription and was told it was taken care of, when in fact the doctor never called it in. I eventually went to the office where I waited 45 minutes just to see the doctor altogether with the office manager just to be told he needed to know the dosage for the prescription. After that it took another 10 days for the pharmacy to actually get the prescription. 3 weeks before my medication ran out, I faxed the office to get a refill and followed up with a phone call. Again, I was told it was taken care of..... Well, the same exact scenario happened..... 3 weeks later after numerous phone calls I was told I have to see the doctor for him to prescribe a refill. I mentioned I was out of medication and needed a refill ASAP to no avail. The office manager didn't care. All she… kept saying was "come in" for a visit! She was very rude and cold!!! I am disgusted by their lack of professionalism and competence. They only care about making money! I will NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone!!! Worst doctor and office ever!

Went do Doctor with a 40lb weight gain and thinning hair. Labs came back everything was good. No explanation, no suggestions, didn't want to review my results. Just that I was in menopause, which was something I already knew. Left there with the same issues and no suggestions or help.

Dr Fernandez is still a very good doctor. I was there today and he took time with me, listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and left me with a feeling of confidence with his care. My appt was noon time, and for the first time, he was about 20 minutes late by that time in the day but that is nothing compared to many other doctors I have seen. I am glad that he is more concerned with addressing ALL your problems than being exactly on time. Dr Fernandez is concerned with your overall health as well as your endocrine system. I hope he will remain in our area for many years.

by Mrs. Valerie Rowland Exceptional!!!! I was overly joyed to find him in Bonita Springs. He had been my endocrinologist in Cape Coral. He is caring, thorough and really addresses your concerns and issues. He listens. You don't have the feeling that most doctors give you, one hand on the door knob trying to get you in and out as fast as possible. ALL physicians should treat you like Dr. Fernandez does. You literally feel a sense of relief when you leave, knowing that you are on a path to becoming healthy. Thank you

Awful office, awful doctor!! Long wait times for a doctor who doesn't know who you are, has no time for you and doesn't appear to have any knowledge of the thyroid. I'm a nurse and have never met a worse doctor! Such a disappointment to the medical profession!
