Dr. Oscar Javier Lindo, MD

I have been a patient for over 3 years and the service that is given is horrible. The secretary's or assistants need to hone their people skills. I have seen them insult, disregard and even make fun of patients. Over the years I have let things go, however the way they treated an elderly patient was pitiful. Sometimes the topic of conversation in the waiting room is how bad the staff is!

I have been a patient of Dr Lindo for 5 years now, I have read reviews about him that I just thought were plain lies, but that is just my opinion, I have never had any bad experiences with the doctor, he is amazing, but with his staff just recently I was very disappointed, because in the 5 years I have been going there they never new that I understand spanish and I had been trying to call them because I was recently in the hospital and per my insurance which is optimum I need to do a follow up, so since I could not reach them on the phone I walked into the office on cortez and apparently it was during lunch hour because it was closed, so I called the office on spring hill dr and they were not closed and I asked them to make an appointment with Dr Lindo for hospital follow up which they did for 930am the next morning, a Tuesday I thanked them, and the next morning I was there at 9 am signed in the like always and there was another patient there as well, the young lady in the front desk… called me over and stated to me that I did not have an appointment this morning, I told them the other office made it and said said I'm sorry but they never put you on the schedule, So I asked them to call the office and speak to veronica because she was the one who made the appointment for me, then I hear the voice of a young man in spanish asking her who I was and she blatantly told him in spanish the 930 appointment we forgot to call him and cancel his appointment this morning and I just looked at her in amazement that she just had the nerve to tell me that the appointment was never done. lied to my face, and his answer to her was to apologize to me and explain to me that the other office is constantly doing this and the office manager is in the process of getting rid of them, but we can put you on their schedule for 10 am they only have 4 patients this morning, I was so disgusted with her and this young man that I said go ahead that's fine, and I went to the other office, to my surprise there are not 4 patients their waiting room is full and talking to some of the patient the majority of them were Dr Lindo patients who were told to come here because they were over booked, I have never been so disgusted with an office staff in my life, and I did make a complain to optimum and I will not be returning to his office, Dr Castello and her staff and when I say Staff I will say only 2 people the front desk girl and the nurse were amazing, polite and although a little stressed they managed to see us, yes we did wait but i understand now as to why, and the way that young lady put down her co-workers was so unprofessional, good luck with keeping patients over there because to my understanding you lost 4 patients that day including myself, you must understand that patients do talk to each other and when they get different stories from your staff Dr Lindo, people do not like being lied to, and that day 4 of your patients were lied to by your staff. You are an amazing doctor, you really are but I cannot trust someone who hires people who can lie, and talk bad about other employees they work with not a good atmosphere for a doctor's office.

I have been a patient for a few years, staff are very helpful and kind. Dr. Lindo listens to my concerns and was very attentive. I never have to sit and wait forever in the waiting area for my appointment which is crucial to me. The staff gave me the names and numbers that I needed for tests that I needed and offered to do it for me but I declined as I never know what my schedule will be so I'd rather do it at my own leisure.

Took a friend there after surgery on Dr Lindo's request and what a waste of time!! he was nasty and rude to the poor patient who was in pain!!.. and all that so he can sign some paperwork.. your in the wrong line of work and you definitely give latinos a bad reputation!! stop having your staff write good reviews for you.. i'm sure they do it cause they are afraid to lose their jobs!! pretty sad..

On behalf of my beloved husband, I am writing this review, hoping that Dr. Lindo and his staff will try their best to modify the way they treat their hispanic patients. Dr. Lindo is moody, impatient and lacks a lot of Medical Ethics. When a patient goes to see him he pays for his services, but he treats them as if he is doing it for free. Dr. change your way of treating your hispanics patients. More than any other you should treat them with respect and be caring with them. They are your race. Latinos!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Lindos office for 4 years now. He is absolutely the best. I have moved to Melbourne the other side of the state and I still will continue to use him. If fact tomorrow at 9:45. His office staff are wonderful. They are all caring. Thank you to all of you.

I just want to address the negative reviews regarding Dr. Lindo and the staff here at Lindo Medical Care. We have been seeing patient here in Brooksville as a Primary Care Physician since 2001. We have recently opened a second office in Spring Hill to better serve our members. Dr. Lindo is very passionate about helping people and taking care of their physical health. Regarding "Tim", I remember the case well; the gentleman and his wife showed up at the practice VERY aggressive from the first get go. We understand he was concerned about his wife illness, but the concern does not warrant abuse towards the office staff. As the staff tried to explain common referral procedures that we have been using for over a decade, he would not want to hear it demanding that we find specialists and set up the appointments ( that is NOT the PCP's responsibility ). We usually do suggest our preferred specialists and Lab facilities, however the tone and attitude of the gentleman quickly broke down all… forms of communication. Him being a military veteran, he is visually threatening in a normal day, but when he begun to scream and calling the staff names, one would understand why we had to report him as being abusive. ( The office receptionist was literally scared for her life, and we had no choice but to file a police report). Through out our career, we have seen numerous patients- we consider every single case to be of the outmost importance. This was by far the worst case I have ever witness. Thankfully it is the exception and not the rule. As far as the complaint from 2013- It is simply untrue as we have NEVER had a patient pass away because of overdose from a medication prescribed by our practice.

In my opinion, the office staff is completely incompetent. My wife was seen by Dr. Lindo for an initial visit to establish him as her Primary Care Manager. During the visit, the Dr ordered lab work, X-Rays and a referral to Neurology for migraines. The office staff told my wife it was her responsibility to find a Neurologist, lab and office that would perform her tests so that they could then send in a referral to Humana. After doing their job for them, my wife was then told that she had to schedule an appointment with the new doctor before they would submit a referral... even though we can't set the appointment without the referral. I called Humana to confirm what the doctor's office said and they stated that the office is wrong and they are the ones that should be finding the specialist and the labs to run the tests and submitting for the referral. I went into their office today and told them what Humana stated and was told that I would be asked to leave if I continued to be… abusive. I informed them that I wasn't abusive at that point, but I could be. After going back and forth with the 'office manager', I proposed that they send in a referral to Humana and see what happens. They agreed and I left. About 10 minutes later, Dr. Lindo called me to tell me I was abusive to his office staff. I told him I wasn't abusive, I just pointed out their incompetence and at that point, he said I was fired from his office and not to come back. At that point, I belligerent, but once he 'fired' me I felt free to do so.

Dr Lindo and his staff were very professional and helpful on my visit. He took his time and listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. Unlike most other doctors offices I wasn't stuck in a waiting room for hours either! I will definitely be going back to see Dr Lindo and I would recommend him to anyone.
