Dr. Owais Ahmed Zaidi, MD

Dr. Zaidi is a heaven sent individual. He treated me with the best bedside manner and compassion - something that has become less and less common in the modern medical practice. He sat with me for an extensive amount of time and educated me on my diagnosis and treated me like a human - not like another number on a paper. I wish he was my PCP! Very well educated man with a good heart.

Dr. Zaidi was amazing to say the least. He was respectful and compassionate and addressed all my concerns. I did not feel like I was just another patient on his agenda, he catered to my concerns very patiently and took time to explain everything to me. I am grateful that physicians like Dr. Zaidi still exist- the ones who genuinely care for their patients and their best outcome. Thank you so much.

I was seen by Dr Zaidi for asthma. He explained the diagnosis and set up a great treatment plan. I feel much better

I visited Zaidi to review the results of a CT scan performed at another facility. Part of the results indicated scarring in both lungs from a bout of double pneumonia six years prior, for which I had been hospitalized for over a week in CCU. After a very brief conversation about my medical history in which Dr. Zaidi did more blind asserting than questioning, he informed me that I'd never had pneumonia and that my pulmonologists at the hospital were obviously mistaken. Next, he explained that being obese had damaged my metabolism (scientific consensus is that obese people tend to have a higher basal metabolic rate) and recommended a paleo-style diet because humans didn't "evolve" to eat genetically-modified wheat (suggesting Zaidi doesn't understand evolutionary theory, doesn't know that agriculture itself is a form of modification based on human selection and hybridizing, and apparently is not aware that "genetically-modified" wheat has never been available commercially). These… pseudo-scientific opinions presented as fact concern me. His dismissal of my medical history as an "error" on the part of other doctors is equally worrying. I would not visit him again.
