Dr. Pablo Alberto Urbandt, MD

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this medical office. Although I valued the care I received from Dr. Urbandt and found him to be very thorough and congenial, the office’s communication, follow-up, medication-related response, appointment procedures, and billing practices have been unacceptable. I made three separate phone calls requesting my echocardiogram results and received no response. I was ultimately told that I could come to the office to pick up the results, but that I would not be permitted to speak with the doctor about them. I also received no follow-up regarding my CCTA performed on 8/31/26. Patients should not have to repeatedly chase a medical office for their own test results or be denied a reasonable opportunity to discuss important findings with a qualified medical professional. Even more concerning was my attempt to obtain clarification about my medications. I provided the office with a written medication list and specifically asked whether I… should be taking both two similar prescriptions. I was there for approximately 1½ hours, yet no one reviewed the list or provided an answer. I specifically asked someone to follow up with me, and no one ever did. When a patient raises a question involving potentially duplicative medications, simply ignoring the request is not an acceptable standard of patient communication or safety. The appointment desk has also been extremely difficult to reach. The telephone is not reliably answered, and there is no voicemail option to document a cancellation request. Patients should not be put in the position of potentially being labeled a "no-show" because the office has failed to provide a reliable way to communicate with them. The billing situation has been equally frustrating. I was charged copayments despite believing that I had already reached my annual insurance out-of-pocket maximum. These are not minor customer-service complaints. They involve access to medical records, follow-up on diagnostic testing, medication clarification, basic communication with patients, and potentially incorrect billing. I expected a much higher level of communication and accountability from a medical practice. Patients should not have to repeatedly call, wait indefinitely, or chase an office for answers to basic questions about their own healthcare. I sincerely hope the practice addresses these issues because, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend this office.

Dr. Pablo and his staff are caring and he wants the best for his clients. I am doing much better with the plan given by Dr. Pablo and my heart is doing just fine.:)
