Dr. Padma Lal, MD

Horrible doctor. Avoid her at all costs. I put up with years of unprofessionalism and odd comments from her, but I can't abide my treatment during the last couple of visits, when she got angry with me for asking follow-up questions about my health condition, was unable to explain or answer anything about my recent bloodwork, and ultimately refused to continue treating me (or answer any questions) after she found out I was consulting with another doctor. The office is shabby and never open (not that they answer the phone even when they are). Trust all of the horrible reviews of her that are out there and do not see this doctor. I'm reporting her to the Department of Health.Also the office

If you want to be belittled and feel worse than you already do then go see Dr Lal. She wouldn't listen to my symptoms would dismiss anything I said regarding how I felt. Instead of helping me she refused care. She fat shamed me at every appointment and made me feel worse about myself. She deserves zero stars.

I would give her a 0 if I could. She’s nice & refreshing when she wants to be then completely RUDE and berating when she fees like it. Been seeing her almost 5 years. Her office has the most unwelcoming atmosphere I’ve ever felt in my 41 years on this earth. They even made a huge HIPPA violation during my last visit. I know she is very smart, but definitely not worth selling my soul for. Please take my word for it.

I actually find her refreshingly honest and doesn't sugar coat anything. I found her professional and caring.

If you TRULY want help, then Dr. Lal is the endo to see. She will not sugar coat anything and will be critical of everything. If you are a diabetic she asks the hard questions that you hate to answer. She does care, but does not suffer fools. Follow her orders, and you WILL see improvement. Ignore them and suffer your own disappointment, and her sarcasm. She holds you to a higher standard. She isn't there to take care of you, that's your job. She will help you help yourself.

I have read really negative comments and was very nervous to see her but she has been great! Very attentive and her bed side manner is great. She really wanted to crack my case and because she didn't know what was wrong with me.

Probably quick to diagnose and treat simple cases. After extensive questioning in a way that often offended me, she refused to treat my disease because it is so rare and other doctors have trouble with the medication.

Avoid this doctor at all costs. Like most other reviews state she is rude, insulting and unprofessional. Asks inappropriate questions and then calls you names. Always have anxiety seeing her but im done now as she made me feel worthless. Disgusting human being. And never did find out the results of my blood test as she was too busy attacking other areas of my life

Horribly rude! She was very arrogant and talked down to me like I was an idiot.Dismissed me without even an explanation. I left the office in tears.

Almost every time I left Dr. Lal's office, I would sit in my car afterward and feel upset. I am grateful for her diagnosis and treatment which is why I would rate her fair, but it just seemed emotionally exhausting going to see her. Sometimes she seemed so sweet and other times it felt like walking on eggshells with her and her staff. I do think she is very intelligent and skilled.
