Dr. Pamela L Kurtzhals, MD

I met Dr.Kurtshal at Scripps for general surgery for Breast Surgury. She was a very caring, listen to what you had to say and she would answer and explain very clearly, very professional and because of her personality would cheer you up when you needed it. I miss her and I hope she reads this so she would know I want to say "thank you so much" for being you and best of all a great surgeon.

Dr. Explained in detail everything that was going to happen and was wonderful. If I have a need for her services again I would not hesitate one second before calling her! That should say a lot because I'm one of those scared babies when it comes to needles and yes I'm 68!

Rude doctor with an almighty complex. Belittling and rude.

At my first appointment, she used the "f" word 7 times describing my referring doctor.

I had an extremely good visit with this doctor. I was very afraid as I had a breast lump. She made me feel comfortable, she was compassionate, she calmed me down, and showed me my results and explained them at my level of understanding. She has a sense of humor and also kept my dignity during the exam. I have been to many doctors and she is one of the few I trust and feel that she really cares about her patients. I have a follow up appointment and will not be afraid this time to see the doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Kurtzhals.

With multiple malignant areas in my breast several MD's including radiologist and oncologist recommended complete mastectomy. At her appointment she recommended partial mastectomy, stating certain areas of calcification were not malignancy. With the discrepancy I requested a clarification biopsy, she agreed to order. Results were positive. Complete mastectomy required. When she called to tell me the biopsy results she stated that she always recommended the complete mastectomy and I had requested partial mastectomy - not accurate! Fortunately I went to the visit with my partner who concurs with my recollection of her recommendation at this visit.
