Dr. Panayotis Ignatiadis, MD

I give credit for every second of my life past Sept. of 08 to Dr. Ignatiadis. It’s been a long hard fight with four surgeries, years of fluid drains and radiation treatments, but with out a doubt I owe every second of it to this Man. I still see him periodically for check ups and each time I go I feel a peace when I’m there. His nurse Nancy always wears a smile and it puts me at ease. I hear he will be retiring soon and even though he deserves it, it still doesn’t set well with me. But I’m selfish in that department. LOL. In my house, his name will always hold high regards.

I visited the doctor today. I didn't have to wait long at all. Tge staff was very nice and the doctor was personable, professional, and articulate. He explained everything in detail and seemed to know my fears before I voiced them. Put my mind at ease immediately. I had driven a long way and felt the trip was well worth it!

Dr. Ignatiadis is a wonderful doctor! He is kind and respectful. He was honest with me when he told me surgery was not the appropriate treatment for my problem. He recommended some other treatments that he would help me. I am so glad he did that; I do not want surgery unless I absolutely must have it. I appreciate him so much. Five stars and if I could give him more, I would. It is my pleasure to recommend him.

Outstanding , Respectful, Honest and a skilled Dr. you would every want. He truly cares for his patients and their outcome. He is a surgeon but if he believes you can do other alternatives then he recommends them first. Most surgeons just want to operate but he recommends the right choice for the elements the patient is dealing with. Patient opinions always matter and he truly listen to what you are saying. I have been his patient for 30 + years and only had to have 1 back surgery and others wanted me to have multiples. I was in a wheelchair when I went to him and he got me walking again and the surgery was 100% success. Just Respect him so much. Great Doctor.

Dr. Ignatiadis is a superior doctor whose has been in practice a long time.j After reviewing my records he indicated (in so many words twice) to go to the Cleveland Clinic where they can better address my back problems which have gotten worse over the years , a loss of 3-1/4 inches reduction of my spine (also the CC has cutting edge equipment and procedures though he did not say so right out. He has many years of experience and if I needed a different kind of back surgery I would not hesitate to have Dr. Ignatiadis, M.D. perform surgery on my back. He is considered a 5-star doctor in the Tri-State area around Huntington, WV who works out of St. Mary's Hospital. I value his opinion highly. So, I am taking his advice and going to the cutting edge equipment and procedures at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Ignatius isn't t the most talkative person, but he is one of the best

This doctor has a god complex. He repeatedly interrupted me, did not listen to my symptoms, and insisted on treating me for something that I had not even mentioned while ignoring the things that I had. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. "Iggy" is the most caring, considerate doctor we have encountered. He explains your condition in a way even the least knowledgeable person can understand. He takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable with any concerns you may have. His staff is one of the best! When you are dealing with life or death situations and the doctor can ease your fears as well as Dr. Iggy does, he's definitely a keeper!

Dr. Ignatiadis did spinal cage fusion with titanium discs in my lower back in 1997. I was the first to have this surgery in the area of Huntington. I must say he was awesome, amazing, and appreciated. It's been 18 years and I'm still doing great. I would recommend him to anyone!

Waited 3 months for an appt. He looked at my MRI and decided it wasn't read correctly and that he couldn't do surgery. After that, he was through with me. Did not want to answer any follow-up questions or really tell me what he saw on the MRI. It was like pulling teeth to get him to offer any suggestions as to what was causing my pain. He is (or was) an excellent surgeon, but his bedside manner has much to be desired. I am now back to square one on what is wrong with me (after a three month wait on him). What a let down.
