Dr. Pardis Amirhoushmand, PhD

Dr Pardis is extremely unprofessional and dismissive. I came in for an autism diagnosis, I had all my examples gathered and symptoms that were prevalent since birth and that hinder me into adulthood. She proceeded to tell me it’s just untreated anxiety and depression. When I asked her questions about why and how she came to that conclusion she became irritated and even more dismissive. I tried talking and she would constantly cut me off. I walked out of the session crying because she said unless I’m going to take the IQ test then she was done “arguing about it”. She was also more interested in what my mother had to say about me than what I had to say about myself, and did not even look at me like I’m a person but a puzzle she’s trying to figure out. She came off as ableist and extremely arrogant.
