I found Dr.Culligan skilled and comforting. He revised a sling procedure that was previously too tight so that my pain and incontinence disappeared within a few hours. I then after healing wore an estrogen ring to prevent post menopausal infection and dryness a lifesaver. Talented kind and a jewel of a surgeon.

I went to Dr. Culligan because I had symptoms of UTI for months that was not being picked up in UTI tests. He was so rude. He wouldn't let me speak. He seemed terribly disappointed with the fact that I didn't have a prolapse, and told me that he was not the right doctor for me, this in spite of the fact that my issue was with my urinary tract and he is a urogyno. He was so rough when he examined me that I had pain for hours afterwards. He then decided that I suffer from IC, in spite of the fact that IC is a diagnosis of exclusion, and yet he excluded nothing, and recommended that I go to a specialist in Long Island, this in spite of the fact that I was constantly running to the bathroom to void. How would I sit in a car for a two hour trip is beyond me. He also gave me a list of foods to avoid with the most ridiculous drawings. It looked like something you hand out to children in kindergarden. Avoid this man at all costs. He is awful.

Before COVID I was scheduled to have surgery by Dr. Culligan at Cornell. He stayed in touch with me in the spring and offered me various dates for my robotic surgery. I didn't feel comfortable going back into the city, so I was delighted to hear he had moved his practice to New Jersey. I had my surgery at Valley Hospital over a month ago, and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Culligan's kindness, sincere caring and concern made me feel more comfortable about my surgery. I literally had no pain, and I feel wonderful. I live in Connecticut, but it was well worth the trip to see Dr. Culligan in New Jersey. I am forever grateful to him and his team.

I really feel let down by doctor Patrick Culligan. I went to see him with high hopes to treat my problem. He briefly examine me and diagnosed me. He the offered me a couple of choices. I tried the easiest one and less invasive (botox) After a few tries botox was not the best option. I asked him if he could do more tests since my tests before were done over ten years ago. He didn't want to. I was speachels when he refused by saying that I don't need more tests. He then referred me to another doctor who doesn't take my insurance. I was left hanging in the air. I feel really disappointed since he is supposed to be one of the best doctors in his field. I related so much to one review I saw in another website. I feel he chooses the easiest cases, and the sad part is that he could help you, or at least try, but he won't

I had an abdominal hysterectomy and a sacrocolpopexy in May 2016. Two weeks later I developed a bowel obstruction from the sacrocolpopexy. I spent another week in the hospital and endured another surgery, which required the removal of some of the mesh from the sacrocolpopexy since it caused the obstruction. Even though the hysterectomy surgeon denied that the bowel obstruction resulted from his surgery, the surgical report proved that the careless placement of the mesh used in this procedure had caused the entire problem. Consequently, when the sacrocolpopexy failed, I visited several other urogydnocologists in Manhattan. When I realized the complexity of the revision surgery that I needed, I opted for Dr. Culligan because he had given the most detailed exam and dedicated the most time explaining what had to be done to rectify my problems. Thus, I felt certain he would be just as detailed in the operating room, and he was! The surgery was almost six hours long, but I left the… following morning with minimal discomfort. I feel fortunate to have had such a skilled surgeon who resolved several very complex problems.

I had surgery with Dr. Culligan following frustrating previous diagnoses that left me in pain. Dr Culligan was cautious about surgical option but pursued based on my symptoms and discomfort after thorough investigation of non-surgical options. My surgery left me pain free and dramatically changed the quality of my life. I would highly recommend this physician to others based on my experience.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Culligan 8 years after my initial surgery. His expertise and excellent bedside manner has not wavered with time. I highly recommend Dr. Culligan for women with incontinence problems.

I suffered from urinary incontinence after having my first child, at 29 years old! I had an amazing pregnancy, healthy baby, and unfortunately during child birth pushed for 3.5 hours! Thankfully my daughter was perfect but unfortunately left me with urinary incontinence. After going to my ob/gyn, local urologist, and physical therapist for 8months, I decided to seek out. I did not want to hear another doctor tell me “give it time” “try these meds” “do Kegals” ! I found Dr. Culligan, who was over 2 hours away and decided to make an appointment to hear his thoughts. From the start of making the appointment couldn’t have been easier. The day I seen the MD he was able to identify my problem, urethral prolapse. informed me that all the kegals in the world wouldn’t fix this problem and a simple procedure was needed. He was so accommodating, knowing we traveled far, to sit down in his office and have a pre-op discussion that day. Going over any questions or concerns that I had. My pre-op… testing was a week later and then my procedure a week after that. I have a mid-urethral sling done, which now was 1.5months ago. My life has changed tremendously! The procedure was same day, very quick. I was soo nervous and the doctor talked me through everything. I am beyond happy with everything I experienced. I have not leaked urine at all since my procedure! This is by far the best descision I made, I highly recommend this office for anyone suffering with urinary incontinence. No one should have to live with such an embarrassing problem!

Having sturggled with incontinence for years, finally decided to do something. Fortunatley I found Dr. Culligan and his team. They exceeded all expectations with their competence, caring and professionalism.
