Dr. Patrick Francis Serynek, DO

the worst medicine is “that’s how I’ve always done it”. If you wanted to be treated rude, with outdated protocols and a mindset where you’re just another number then go ahead and use him. If you actually want a surgeon to care for you, think about what’s best in the current times, with an open mind and that will actually listen to you, find someone else please. This surgeon is closed off, going through the motions and has no more passion to be a good surgeon.

I do not recommend Dr. Serynek as a physician. I advise anyone who has him as a doctor to seek another professional In October 2022, I underwent an ankle replacement surgery performed by him. At every follow-up appointment, I reported ongoing pain. Instead of addressing these concerns thoroughly, he dismissed them and reassured me that my healing was on track. At one point, he even told me to “chalk that up in the ish happens column,” which I found highly unprofessional. Nearly a year after surgery, I sought second and third opinions. Both independent doctors confirmed that I was not healing properly and explained that by the one-year mark, progress in recovery typically plateaus. This meant my healing had not been on track, contrary to what I had been told. When I asked Dr. Serynek about this discrepancy, he admitted he had been viewing my situation through “rose-colored glasses.” Because of this lack of honesty, I lost valuable time that could have been used to seek appropriate… treatment elsewhere. As a result, I am now facing ongoing pain, significant health setbacks, and the loss of insurance coverage after extended time on disability. Patients deserve accurate and transparent information about their recovery so they can make informed decisions about their health. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Dr. Serynek. For these reasons, I cannot recommend him. I am writing this review to warn everyone about this Doctors practices in hopes no one else has to deal with what I am currently going through.

Dr. Serynek is true and passionate about what he does. I am so glad I was referred to him to be my orthopedic surgeon. He did an awesome job in the reconstruction of my foot, ankle, and toes. He was concerned about my overall well being, it wasn't just another surgery. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in search of an orthopedic doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Serynek, you're the best.

He is a great doctor
