Dr. Patty Lee, MD

Dr. Lee is a total professional. I been seeing her for years and have total convinced inher professional abilities.

Today Dr. Lee applied keen observation skills, expert knowledge, careful, clear explanations and an empathetic bedside manner in areas that included my outer ears, my nose and my esophagus. This is consistent with the care l’ve received from Dr. Lee over the many years I’ve been her patient.

I would recommend Dr. Lee to anyone looking for a top-notch otolaryngologist. I have had three office visits with Dr. Lee at the Fairfax location of Otolaryngology Associates - two preoperative visits and a post-op visit in conjunction with a surgery which was performed by Dr. Lee at the Fairfax Surgical Center. I was treated with courtesy by the staff both on the phone and in the office. I did not have to wait more than five minutes to see the doctor however in my view if she were running behind it would be worth the wait. I like Dr. Lee's style. She is busy and efficient with her time but I did not feel rushed. She gave candid answers to my questions and explained what she was doing and why in a manner that I could understand. The Fairfax Surgical Center is a well run operation and with the help of Dr Lee's steady hand the surgery went well. I chose Dr. Lee because of her professional training, clinical interests, and extensive experience. I am glad I did.

I was diagnosed of Cancer from my primary physician and referred to Patty Lee for surgical removal of my cancer, Patty Lee failed to establish clear margins during the surgery and left some cancer tissue intact, Had to get a 9 hour corrective Cancer surgery from Georgetown Uni Hospital a month later, Had I not gotten a second opinion my cancer would have spread & I would have died.

Burned a whole in septum during electro cauterization. Do not recommend.

Dr. Lee is my ENT. She found that I had cancer at the base of my tonsil and immediately took care of me. She operated on me using the DaVinci Robot system, and I have now been cancer free for 4 years.

This Dr. needs to review why she went into medicine. I went to hear with a series of issues that ended up being resolved by another physician a few weeks later. She spent less than 5 minutes with me, she never felt my neck for enlarged lymph nodes and then charged my insurance company $300! Completely a waste of my time.

I don't think Dr. Lee spent 5 minutes with me. I had written down my list of symptoms, she looked at them and asked me a couple of questions. Then she handed me a piece of paper that told me what foods to eat/not to eat for acid reflux and that my hoarse voice could be due to peri-menopause. I'm still undiagnosed. For a specialist, I thought she was very un-thorough and incomplete. She never felt my lymph nodes (which my own physician said are swollen) and never took my temp. I should have known better when I called on a Wed. and was able to get a Thurs. appt. I should have checked this website first. I hope she doesn't send me a bill because I believe I might just send her one back for wasting my time and I waited 45 mins. to see her. And NO follow-up.

Completely misdiagnosed!! She said I was fine with just a case of tonsilitis when in fact two days later after getting a second opinion I was found to have cancer. She did a terrible disservice to me and I would highly recommend that no one ever goes to her. Really poor doctor.

Agree with the other reviewers! She is the rudest doctor I have ever had. Not only was she snippy with me, but she didn't even listen to my problem. I was prescribed to go there by a sleep doctor, and she just laughed saying that "sleep doctors don't know what they are talking about". I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I have a problem breathing, which is why the sleep doctor wanted to make sure I didn't have any nasal obstructions. Dr. Lee didn't think anything was wrong with my nose (nasal polyps), but she still made me go in the other room to have it "checked out". She didn't even tell me that I would be paying another $150 for this checkup. I guess she just wanted to make a quick buck. I've been to many doctors before, but this has never ever happened. She's extremely belittling and a thief.
