Dr. Paul Turner Bates, DO

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Bates for 20 years and he his hands down the best medical practitioner we have come to know. Not only is he an expert in what he does, he talks to you like you are family. He genuinely cares about his patients and being that he is a DO he is not your traditional pill pusher. If a condition or pre condition can be treated with more exercise and better nutrition, that is always encouraged first, and since Dr Bates practices what he preaches, you know you’re in great hands. We highly recommend Dr. Paul Bates!!

As another person reviewed, they terminated my entire family from his practice after 30 years of going to him. I always told my parents we could find better. Not only did he put my father on Xanax for tinnitus for the past 6 years at 1mg a day, but when they were bought out, they refused to fill his RX as they had been, and a week later fired the whole family as patients. My father had a seizure (yes an actual seizure) bc if you know anything about xanax, you have to taper. You can't just say, no more. He is now with Dr. Martinez who is helping him taper down over the next 6 months to 2 years. He should have never been put on Xanax in the first place. I have also reported this to the BBB and the appropriate medical boards. I truly hope by doing this a thorough review of his practice operations are completed so that no one else suffers as a result of his apathy and greed.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bates my whole life, just got a letter about how all of a sudden after 30 years our whole family has been terminated as a patient due to some B.S about the "Doctor / Patient relationship with my Mother and him has not been up to his standards. What a Horrible thing to do to a Family who has been loyal for 30+ Years. Now that there all Corporate owned it’s all about the $ anyways, They Change Insurance providers every week chasing what's best for them. They are no longer about the Patient just the money. Don't waste your time on this Practice. Who knows when you will be terminated for some random reason.
