Dr. Paul John Demarco, MD

Dr. DeMarco is very professional, kind and caring. He cares about the ailment that you are there to see him for, but also takes it further, he cares about YOU. I have other health issues and he cares about them as well as what his specialitycovers. It seems more like visiting a friend with great medical knowledge instead of a Drs. appointment. I have been a patient for a very long time, back when he was at Washington Hospital Center. When he came to Wheaton, I followed him because of his caring and demeanor. How good a doctor is he? Well he is the only doctor I will drive 70+ miles (round trip) to visit! I do this because he is worth it!

Dr. DeMarco is one of my favorite doctors! He had to give me a diagnosis that I wasn't happy about but he did it with care and compassion that was so appreciated. Dr. DeMarco has always worked with me over the years to help me feel as well as possible and advocated for me with insurance for treatments. I highly recommend Dr. DeMarco and his practice!

During my first visit with Dr. Demarco, he was kind, concerned, and he thoroughly reviewed my records, responding with thoughtful advice, care and compassion. So I was stunned when I returned for a follow-up visit, and Dr. Demarco was dismissive, condescending, and would not allow me to finish a sentence. He was rude and sarcastic. I was shocked that this was the very same doctor that I saw only 2 weeks prior. I don't know what to make of it, but others should be aware. It was a great disappointment.

Dr. Paul DeMarco is a Reumatologist with the practice of Arthritis and Rheumatology in their Wheaton, MD location. I have been lucky enough to have had him as my physician for a very long time (a number of years) and he is always attentive, innovative, professional, a wealth of information, and works well with my other physicians when necessary. The staff at this office are efficient and I can communicate by phone or through the Patient Porthole (24 hrs./day) on-line with questions or concerns or simply medication refills. I've never had a complaint. I have referred others to Dr. DeMarco and will continue to do so. He's an excellent and caring physician.

Dr. DeMarco was so tuned into everything - I had a plethora of information for him and he took it all in easily and patiently answered my questions with a terrific bedside manner. He was supportive and kind and suggested we look at Xrays together which was really nice! (Other experiences with doctors have been waiting nervously in the exam room until they come back and give you a couple of words where you need to run home and ask Dr. Google LOL). Not so here - Dr. DeMarco went through the Xrays top to bottom and when I could hear the diagnoses explained, it did not sound so scary and made much more sense when the words were used with the visuals. As a bonus, Dr. DeMarco seems to have fixed a problem I've had for YEARS that has alluded several doctors and dentists and I will be eternally grateful for that! It was also nice to be able to have to the xrays in-house and not have to go to one of those icky radiology places where you are practically MOOING in the waiting room's cattle call.… This was very efficient and pleasant. I feel very lucky to have found this doctor!

De Marco is exceptional, he has been my dr. for over 9 years. His staff have a bit to learn, not good on phone, and that stuff. Overall happy.

Staff is very professional -- starting at front desk. Dr. DeMarco always makes me feel like he can take whatever time is necessary to answer questions and explain in detail my condition and treatment options. Very pleased he's my Dr. I always seek the earliest appointment because the schedule deteriorates quickly ( you asked). Also -- call center people are VERY professional as well.

Dr DeMarco has restored my faith in doctors. He is aware of the documented ABUSE I had from previous doctors that led to over 750 falls due to poor treatment plans, not listening, and mocking my lack of progress as a patient and husband to my wife. I believe the previous doctor also gave me Hepatitis C due to his carelessness and leaving medicine in his refrigerator for 6 months that was to be disposed of on the day of initial use. Verbal abuse, false paperwork, and a lack of caring about car accident victims left me physically and emotionally abused by Dr Robert Lyles. The next doctor gave me procedures I Did NOT sign up for only to find out afterwards and then was mocked that I thought I would actually get better from the procedure. Then along came Dr. DeMarco who treated me as if I were his little brother and heard my horrific stories and wanted to help. He is my light that leads me forward as he desperately tries to undue all the damage of the previous docors while finding… all that is wrong with me and trying to maintain control. Dr. DeMarco walked into the worst possible situation, rolled up his sleeves, and said lets get to work....together we can beat this thing. I wish you had awards that could go to the most caring doctor because he watches me like a hawk to protect me and to make sure we head in the right irection. H E LISTENS!!!!!!!!!! Something so simple yet so crucial and with the long drawn out horribe tales I had to tell he heard it all and chose to act on my behalf to get me better. He reminded me that along with my brother, there are still good people in this world who will not stop until they find an answer. He has been my rock and a very goid doc. He knows when to say yes to something I want and if it is no he actually has a reasonable explanation that makes sense and together we usually come up with a better plan of attack. I know I have a long road ahead before I am back to normal......but with Dr. DeMarco as my doc......I feel I will get there the fastest and most importantly the safest so I can take care of my wife and 3 kids again.. God Bless You Dr. DeMarco and your attitude in really caring about getting me back to where I need to be and un-doing all the damage of the previous immoral abusive doctors. I know thanks does not cover it but it truly comes from my family's heart.....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I will try my best to be a compliant patient and partner in my health recovery journey.

De Demarco is excellent and has a great bed side mannor. His attention to your concerns and approach to treatment is excellent I would definantly recomend him.

Always a great practice. My doctor, Dr. De Marco is a very concerned, compassionate, informed individual. Is always looking for ways to alleviate my health problems. I am extremely satisfied with my doctor, the staff, and everything else with regard to ARA! Keep up the good work!
