Dr told me I needed a major surgery. that I needed a ring of magnets around my esophagus. No other options! that's the path. I chose no surgery and to keep taking the p.p.i's my advise is if you can go see a different gastroenterologist, do it.

Horrible site. My patients told me they have tried to post excellent reviews, but only one negative review shows up, which is slanderous and a personal attack. I have contacted Vital signs multiple times, and they do not respond. Any class action lawsuit would be welcome, please include me. This site should be taken down because it destroys the reputation of good practitioners.

He was great until I turned down being in a drug research study.

I have never been treated with such disregard as I did with this clinic. I called with what I considered an "emergency" and was told by the receptionist that there is really no such thing as an emergency in their business. Nevertheless, she agreed to let me talk to a nurse, but all I got was a message machine. I left a very clear message and still no response. I called the receptionist again and she promptly gave me to the nurse's station where the message machine repeated "do not leave a second message!" I can't even get through to speak to anyone to alleviate any of my worries. I will NEVER recommend this clinic or go there myself.

I like Dr. Hendrix calm, easy-going manner, and have been pleased with him in general, but his nurse Jill has finally caused me to switch doctors. Before having large tubes (or hoses!) stuck down my nose into my stomach, I asked her how long it would take - she replied, laughing, "Depends how many times you throw up!" For a patient who is scared to begin with, this was not comforting, reassuring, or professional!! I was horrified, and more scared than before I asked! More recently, have been having diarrhea day and night for a week, and all I get from her is, "we'll call you this afternoon." Nobody has ever called me. I called them, and got told the same thing, "we'll call you this afternoon." Nothing. I have yet to talk to the doctor about this. Jill is very cynical, and should not be in this profession; we gastrointestinal patients need someone who at least SEEMS to care!
