Dr. Paul Jason Husserl, MD

The doctor is very dismissive and does not pay attention to what the patient is saying. He does not ask questions and is more eager to have you leave the room rather than address your concerns. He kept cutting me off every chance I got to speak, and did not let me explain what my concerns were. I repeatedly told him that my condition is affecting my daily life when it occurs and he told me it’s not that bad. Doctor had no empathy and was very condescending in his tone. He did not respect patient privacy and left the door open of his office while I was speaking to him about my condition, and there was another patient of his waiting right outside the room. I would not recommend him to anyone. He was eager to get me out of the room and I am very Upset with the care that was rendered or lack thereof.

I met Dr Husserl when I had an issue that needed treatment. Being 66, and having the same Gynocologist for 20 years who retired , I was apprehensive about starting over. He was very kind, gentle, a good listener, professional and low key. He was very knowledgeable & gave me additional information that my former doc failed to provide, when I had asked. I’ll definitely see him in the future for my annual visit.

I received 2 texts which said I had a 9 AM appointment . I drove 1/2 hour and arrived 5 minutes late. The receptionist was completely unwelcoming, with a flat demeanor and told me I was supposed to be there at 8:45. The reception area was completely empty with no one else waiting there. She told me she would have to ask the doctor if he would see me. I told her the 2 texts confirmed I had to be there at 9. She said, "He told me to reschedule," with no apology or empathy in her voice. I would never recommend this physician or office to any woman. I don't care how many degrees a doctor has, having a welcoming office and nice bedside manner go a long way.

Once he figured out my endometrioma cyst was malignant, he told me to stop coming back to him every month that I was in pain. That extreme pain during your menstrual cycle was normal. He wouldn’t do a laparoscopy saying I was too young (at 26). Turns out the endometriosis spread to my bladder, bowels, and my kidney was failing as a result of his ignorance. Do not waste your time if you think anything is seriously wrong. This guy is only good for birth control.

Cannot rave about Dr. Husserl enough. He knows his stuff and is amazingly caring when with you.
