Dr. Paul Lind Jacobsen, MD

I'm sorry to hear he was recently fired , along with his medical assistant, from PeaceHealth.

I value Dr. Paul Jacobsen as an understanding person and a Physician with expertise, compassion, and wisdom. He has given me support and shared his knowledge through the years since 2001. He loved to teach but was always sensitive to the needs of his patients to be listened to and validated! Dr. Jacobsen always set me at ease and valued my opinion. Wonderful Doctor and I’m grateful to have him as my Physician.

I have been seeing him scince I was diagnosed with MS 28yrs ago. He has seen me through attacks, seizures, all the ABC drugs that caused such problems & didn't work well. Then on to Tysabri IV which for me was amazing until I became JCV positive. He has counciled me as what to do through every situation with informative wisdom and loving care. Yet allowing me to choose for myself what action to ultimately take. Through the years I have respected and appreciated this knowledgeable man. He is like a big teddy bear always there to give me a hug whether I'm celebrating a joyous period in time or disheartened during a setback in my situation. He has just unexpedly closed his practice after an illness and I will miss him terribly as my doctor and as a long time friend. I pray for him to be well and his wife, and family. Thank you Dr. Jacobsen for all that you have done for me through these many years.

3 months wait for visits; practically unavailable

Very insightful. Able to listen and understand quite thouroughly-- the totality of my condition as no other doctor I've seen in 3 years But he was unable to effect ANY healing.,

Dr. Jacobsen was able to diagnose my disk injuries by just watching me walk -- of course, he ordered tests to confirm -- but he is an amazing man. He has also helped me for almost 20 years with migraines. I love his laid-back manner and he always cared about me, listened to me, and did everything he could to help me.

Has a doesn't care about you attitude. He has it in his mind he knows what is wrong before you get there and doesn't listen to you. Cares even less if you are getting better I told him that the medicine he had me on wasn't working he told me he wasn't changing it see me in six months it was like he had not heard a word I said.

I am thankful for this man. My seizures are now in my control and not the other way around. I appreciate that he listens and works with you. That he wants you to be involved in your own heath care.

I was transferred to this doctor from another doctor because I moved to the area. Dr. Jacobsen and his staff exhibited such a lack of empathy and listening skills toward my situation I felt utterly appalled. I'm not one for writing negative reviews about people but if you find yourself in a position where you're scared and feel the need to ask questions I strongly recommend that you do not go to this doctor. He appeared to be angry at me for asking him questions about my brain tumor and the medication that he threw at me rather than discussing about my condition. His staff failed to return phone calls and answer questions regarding necessary appointments on a very basic level. I really hope that this doctor will learn in the future about empathy and interpersonal skills because he left me feeling more than frustrated. This is my life we are talking about here not just his paycheck and when he started talking about his vacation time and could not remember my name I felt disgusted. Dr.… Jacobsen failed me. I want to live. And I will. No thanks to this man and his staff. Cheers!
