Dr. Paul Andrew Lunseth, MD

Dr. Lunseth "repaired" my torn ACL in 1978 when I was 27. At the time, he worked with the Bucs and he assured me that he would just "go in and clean it up" and that "you'll be fine since you're not a professional athlete." (FYI - I tore my ACL while playing softball) I have had problems with that knee ever since. I am now in my late 60s. Though I have not re-injured that knee, the pain persisted. I was forced to have a knee reconstruction several years ago, and now I have been strongly advised to have a total knee replacement. If Dr. Lunseth had repaired my knee properly from the beginning, I believe that at least some of my problems could have been avoided. I also feel that he dismissed my concerns because I am a woman, and that if I had been a man he would have proposed a different treatment plan. I left his office feeling like my concerns were not heard and like my opinion didn't matter...followed by 40 years of knee pain.
