Paul Irvin Pyles, MD

I have suffered with mental illness all of my life. When I started seeing Dr. Pyles I was at the bottom of the barrel. It took 2-3 years to get me on the right drugs so I can live a happy and fulfilling life. I never new what it was to be happy. Thanks to this man and his patience I am now on the the correct drugs. I have trouble finding a doctor that will not try and change the drugs. Why fix what has been working. I have been to a lot of doctors. I really wish their where more doctors out there like him. Thank you Dr. Pyles. I am now looking for you again as I am against the wall to change my meds. I'm so scared to go back to what I was. I want to stay healthy. Good luck to you and your family. I was very pleased with my time with Dr. Paul Pyles. He's a caring and honest person. Takes time to know you and help with whatever situation may arise. He is an asset to this facility and all it's surrounding branch's.

Dr. Pyles is what all other doctors should aspire to be. I had the pleasure of several visits, and I was amazed at the way he treated me not my symptoms. Also he was superb in understanding former treaments that worked and willing to try these same treatments without resentment to me or my past doctor/s. It is a pity that he left his previous area because he was viewed as a God send by every patients, and rightfully so. What is more of a sickening disgrace is this: Doctors, nurses, and even pharmacists DID NOT LIKE HIM (when did professionals incorporate childishness into their practices?). Even making it worse is when a horrible doctor I am trying to get to fill the shoes of Dr. Pyles tells me -paraphrasing- "I do not like treating Dr. Pyles patients because blah blah blah"). I sensed jealously from this "blind" doctor. However, most all the patients of Dr. Pyles would agree that the local medical community envied him and did "something" to force a great physician to up and leave… within a few weeks. I would spit in the face of these hypocritical doctors, nurses, etc. that said "he wrote too many prescriptions." How is that a bad thing if his patients were happy to have a listening and understanding doctor they could RELY upon? Better yet, thats his job to write prescriptions as he sees fit in accordance with the law, which he followed. Thanks to all the pathetic, take my money and waiste my time doctors for stupid "book" philosophy that resulted in probably the best doctor to ever come through this area leaving!

This doctor is very knowledgable and assess patients as needed. He is also very good with prescribing the correct medication needed which is very important for anyone with a mental illness. Of course therapy is always needed, the right combination of drugs is the first key to success. A person can not go wrong by calling this Psychiatrist your doctor.
