Dr. Paul William Winterton, MD

I had septic bursitis in my elbow & required an emergency surgery & a follow up surgery to treat the infection. Dr. Winterton's decisive intervention saved my arm & possibly my life. Some people seem to find his no nonsense attitude a problem but I appreciated that he clearly communicated what needed to be done along with follow up treatments. He seems genuinely passionate about his work. When I had questions or concerns, he gave me clear answers. I'm grateful for his help & expertise.

This guy is a Q wack in my opinion. Please be careful and steer clear of him.

How are you still in practice?! It’s mind boggling that such a terrible dr that treats patients so horribly and does surgery he’s not qualified for is still practicing. You are so disrespectful and arrogant and I wish there was something more all the people you’ve botched could do. I guess for now all we can do is hope that future patients read these reviews and understand it’s not just one patients bad experience but many! Please really trust the reviews. There are so many great, knowledgeable and caring drs out there. My leg will never be the same! Biggest regret of my life was not paying attention to the bad reviews for this “doctor” Paul Winterton. You should truly be ashamed of the way you treat people! He literally called and yelled at me because I wouldn’t go into a second surgery with him. Screaming at me that I just ruined his whole day. What a jerk! You shouldn’t be threatened by patients going for a second opinion if you’re as good as you think you are!

Excellent medical care. Excellent bedside manner. Excellent office staff

There's really nothing good to say about this doctor, he is as shady as they come. He sells himself as a caring expert that will absolutely be able to help you, but the truth is that he is simply looking at you as another check. He is working with a convicted felon, (former doctor) Randy Relyea to offer bogus Stem Cell Treatments to anyone and everyone who is willing to pay, whether the treatments can help or not. You can't trust two individuals in cahoots with one another to put your medical needs first. Dr. Winterton and Relyea prey on unsuspecting victims suffering from any type of disease or pain and tell them that their miracle stem cell treatments will help them. It's a complete lie. Do your research - the FDA has not approved stem cell treatments for many, if not all of the conditions these "professionals" will tell you they do. There is a reason they are not approved by your insurance and there are many negative side effects that they will not mention.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS GUY! He claims he is a Harvard educated, certified doctor. But after seeing him for a shoulder condition and dealing with his inept team and his mistakes after my procedure, I can't see how this man is still in business. He has absolutely runined my ability to use my left arm and after surgery conned me into getting stem cells with the other "doctor" in his office. Well, after trusting Dr. Paul Winterton and "Dr. Randy Relyea" I came to late understand Relyea has lost his license due to purchasing and potentially selling prescription opioid drugs or forcing his medical staff to write him scripts against their will or by demanding that his patients return the meds he prescribed. And after further research, I found that he has done this in multiple states and has lost his license in those states as well. Both of these individuals are working together to take full advantage of the sick or injured and do not show an ounce of empathy towards… their clients. It's all about the money for them. Beware, their "education and licenses" mean nothing when they have 0 ethics. Do you research and find a quality doctor with high reviews.

Dr. Winterton does not have good bedside manner at all. Upon receiving the news that I just had to deal with the pain for months or years to come, I started crying because I was frustrated there wasn’t an answer for me. I made it clear I was just upset that now I know this is a pain I had to live with, but he responded with “you need to center yourself” and made more degrading comments about my emotions than comments relating my injury. Leaving, I felt stupid and belittled because I was upset. His presence was more “I’m here because I have to be, and this is what brings in money” than “i’m here to help”. Not impressed at all.

Paul Winterton does not care about your symptoms or concerns. HE SIMPLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF AND GETTING YOUR MONEY IN HIS POCKET. He blatantly lies and is working with individuals in his office who are not licensed who give medical advice. He is also very arrogant and truly has no interest in helping people. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM PAUL WINTERTON and SOUTHTOWNE ORTHOPEDICS.

If you need an ankle fusion, go elsewhere! Dr Winterton completely messed up my ankle, removed side bone unnecessarily, bad placement of foot, broken screws, did not fuse!! Foot now increasingly difficult!
