Dr. Paula Diane Ackerman, DO

I have question why she has chosen the medical field as her career. It was obvious she was not happy with her job or maybe she is just totally burned out. She is a very insensitive person with no bed side manners and seems to have underlining issues that just did not set to well with me. I’ve never experienced a physician who came across as belittling along with passing judgement as she was towards my daughter. I did not feel confident in her ability to care for my daughter in the manner she needed and most importantly deserves, so I asked to have her removed from her care. We will continue to pray for Dr Ackerman. We hope she finds the compassion and JOY that’s needed in a physician to help those overcome the obstacles that brought them to her in the first place. I am an active woman of 71 years. I had a bad fall that left me barely able to take a step without searing pain. Dr. Ackerman took care with investigating my whole body, almost like she could see inside and brought me back to perfect health!

Did not to be too concerned about my pain. Had an epidural injection wrong site. Made me feel like I was seeking drugs, which I don't like taking any drugs. Wished I had stayed with my original doctor.

Does not listen, does not care and does not do anything to help. Likes to offer pain pills.

I have been dealing with increasing levels of pain in my neck, shoulders, and back as part of a degrading issue stemming from a 2014 car accident. The week before my appointment with Dr. Ackerman I was not able to stand up straight and I was brought to tears more than once from the sharp/stabbing style pains I was suffering though. Dr. Ackerman provided a wondering first time visit experience that I couldn't be more thankful for. At all times I felt as though I was being listened to by someone who cared not only about assisting me with my immediate issues but was also already thinking ahead on how we could move toward resolutions for the underlying causes and not just the painful symptoms. In the days after my appointment my range of motion without pain is noticeably improved, and even when I have had issues I have been able to do some of the exercises Dr. Ackerman discussed with me to provide spot relief.

I had a new patient appointment, never seen her before today. Hands down some of the worst bedside manners, attitude, and overall communication. I brought 10 years worth of documents including all of my imaging and narrative reports and she didn't look into any of my past information. She quickly determined her own diagnosis without asking about my previous injuries or reports from doctors leading up to my visit with her. She had an attitude and demeanor of someone on the verge of a nervous breakdown and needless to say that will be my first and last visit to her, I do not recommend her to anyone, I hope this review is helpful to all.
