Dr. Peter Jonathan Burrows, MD

I personally like Dr. Burrows, however his administrative staff is unwelcoming and unfriendly over the past year! They don’t answer the phone, I have left messages at the office and answering service with no response! I feel, I’m being forced to go elsewhere for care. I even stopped by during normal office hours (per phone message) to find it empty with one employee who acted bothered by me even being there, she was totally unprofessional. I needed to update my new phone number, address and relay important blood results from my Primary Care.

Urolift procedure failed almost immediately after Dr. Burrows peformed it. 4 of 5 implants missing. He could not tell me why. Checked with the maker of UroLift, and they told me they had only seen this in the case where the surgeon improperly deployed the implants. Was also misled as to whether implant debris was still in my body. Saw another Urologist and he took steps immediately to find that implant debris is indeed still in my body. Very bad experience with Dr. Burrows. So glad I went to someone else.

Five months ago I was referred to Dr. Burrows because my PSAs were slightly elevated. When I walked into his office the first time I felt perfectly fine. 36 hours after the procedure I became sicker than I have ever been in my life. I have gone through now four sets of antibiotics and two invasive procedures. My urine has a god awful odor that will not go away. I became sick again almost a month ago which cleared up on its own but I am constantly in fear of the virus returning. And through it all I have been required to pay 2 copays of $30 even though I should not be having to make return visits. Prostate cancer probably would have been easier to deal with.

I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Burrows and drove nearly one hour to get there a few minutes late. When arriving, was told that Dr. Burrows had left and that I could wait at least 45 minutes for his possible return. This was an unacceptable option since I had scheduled an appointment later that day across town. My beef is that no one phoned me to tell me this. Poor communications does not build the trust needed to work with this office. I was also not told that the doctor was planning an intrusive procedure for that day, only being told at confirmation call to be prepared to give a urine sample (which I was prepared to do!) I had chosen this doctor specifically to consider a surgical procedure which I am now delayed to do if at all. To make matters worse, the office staff indicated that they would call to reschedule. More than a week has gone by and no call. This office is a communications disaster waiting to happen.

did exactly what he promised he would do, with a spot-on description of the recovery from a TURP, that has kept me well for over 10 yrs. Additional work on removing bulging veins from scrotum was fully successful as well.

Dr. Burrows and his staff were amazing. They were willing to work with me on scheduling appointments as well as keeping me informed on everything that was going on. There staff is very helpful as well. This is a great place to go to if you are in need of their services.

Professionals, caring, excellent staff. Couldn't ask for a better group!

The staff seemed nice at first but when it came to getting things done they were lacking. I had to call multiple times to get an order to my insurance and it took multiple days. They lied to me a few times telling me that my info had been sent but when I called my insurance they had not received anything. Calling again the staff was again rude and told me something different. I finally called and told them when they get my stuff sent and due their job to call me so I can make sure it was complete. The staff is rude, they are lazy, and tell you whatever truth or not. They are not caring and don't really seem to care about their job or what they do. As for Dr. Burrows I saw him for a total of five min and all I can say is that he is a fast talker but not sure if he is a great doctor or not yet. I am just hoping his staff isn't a reflection of him.

We love Dr. Burrows but it took 1 1/2 weeks and 4 phone calls to get the scheduling secretary to call us back to schedule a surgical procedure. Dr Burrows deservs 4 stars, but this has really soured our experiance of this office.

Excellent doctor. Easy to talk to and answered all my questions.
