Dr. Millett & his entire team are incredible!! They are without a doubt the best orthopedic team in the world. I came to Dr. Millett after seeing over a dozen surgeons, all of which did not know how to fix the issue. I thought my shoulder was going to be messed up forever! However, Dr. Millett fixed what so many surgeons told me was impossible. He is incredibly talented. I am so blessed to have Dr. Millett and his team. They are the best in the field. I will only trust Dr. Millett & his team with my orthopedic care for life!

I went to Dr. Millett after 7 knee surgeries (6 on my right and 1 on my left) and had seen 11 different surgeons who all refused to remove femur metal from my right leg. I am highly allergic to metal and the chronic pain was leaving me bedridden for 3.5wks out of a month. He personally wrote me back on my inquiry, listened to my concerns, scheduled my surgery within a week (due to insurance issues) and personally followed up with my recovery. The level of patient care from Dr. Millett and his ENTIRE team is above any care I have ever received in my 20 years of dealing with orthopedic surgeons. There are not enough words to describe the level of care, dedication and professionalism you receive from Dr. Millett and his staff. My only disappointment is that I did not find him sooner!!!

I have heard mixed things about dr.millet and was checking his vital reviews before makiing an appointment. I will pass. THe response to a patient who was very critical of his service, was nasty and blame shifting. Basically, attacked the reviewer and was passive aggressively telling us not to trust the source. THen stating that another doctor normally wont give their honest opinion of another doctors work is ridiculous! THen how is a patient supposed to ever confirm when a mistake was made? It sounds like his office wants to be blindly trusted, does not want to admit to the even possibility of a mistake..And expects patients to just passive accept whatever is done to them. In a era when few people trust doctors, millets seems to be just another arrogant entitled narcissist..He sounds dangerous!

Dr. Millett and his team have literally saved my arm. After a traumatic hiking accident and a less than stellar first surgery (done elsewhere), I came to Dr. Millett for a second opinion. We discovered I had a terrible bone infection and started our journey together. We are 7 years into the process and he and his team continue to amaze me every day. They are years ahead of most in their research and are able to find new solutions to improve my quality of life before most doctors even know it's an option. I've met with doctors all over the country to discuss my case and they all hold Dr. Millett in the highest regards. To have the nation's top doctors tell you that you're already working with the best makes me confident I chose the right team.

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and first showed up at Dr Millett's door in 2006 for my left shoulder. I previously had avascular necrosis and a hemi-arthroplasty (partial replacement) at the Hospital for Joint Disease in NYC by Dr Zuckerman (the department head at the time). Well it turned out he had "overstuffed" my EDS shoulder and made more of a mess than anything else. So Dr Millett is who "salvaged" my left shoulder. He allografted my stretched out ligaments (a procedure that no one else was doing on shoulders back then), re attached my blown out rotator cuff, down sized my over sized humeral head prosthetic and basically gave me the chance at a functional shoulder again. In 2010 Dr Millett performed a total shoulder arthroplasty on me b/c by then the socket had degraded severely from improper biomechanics. At the end of the day, I consider my left shoulder to be a work of medical art created by Dr Peter Millett. He created a shoulder for me that could work, with the… proper re training. I lost use of my left shoulder in 1999. And now, 20 years later, thanks to the surgical skills of Dr Millett and the skills of my physical therapist that I have been working with for the past 5 years on this shoulder with....I am almost at a fully functioning left shoulder again. I saw Dr Millett a couple months ago and he feels that my functioning left shoulder will last me another 50 years ( I am 42). I have been his patient for 13 years now. Their is a reason I keep going back to him. I have seen a lot of surgeons in my years with EDS. And Dr Millett is a keeper....

I cannot rave about this man enough. After 5 failed surgical repairs by other doctors for a very complex shoulder problem, I was referred to Dr. Millett and the Steadman Clinic. After several phone calls and email exchanges between Dr. Millett and his staff and myself, I flew from Washington, DC to Vail, CO for an official consultation and subsequent surgery. Dr. Millett and his staff were VERY accommodating, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Dr. Millett and I spoke for quite awhile weighing various surgical techniques and discussing the implications of each on my physical well-being as well as my lifestyle. When I told him my preference, he was willing to move forward, but ended up calling me later that day and asking for another appointment prior to surgery the following day. It was at this time that he expressed concerns around the surgery I had opted for, and proposed a different option that he thought would have the greatest chance of success in affording me an… enjoyable lifestyle with minimal pain. It has been 2 months since that surgery, and while I am still very much in recovery, I am VERY happy with the results so far, and am eager to begin physical therapy to regain mobility and muscle control. Since surgery Dr. Millett has been more than available and reachable. If I call or email him at any time, I receive a detailed, thoughtful response within a half hour. He truly cares about his patients, even those that are far away. I am so grateful to Dr.Millett for his patience, knowledge, and overall concern for my well-being as a young, otherwise healthy, individual. I would recommend Dr. Millett to anyone. He is truly amazing! Not only an extremely gifted surgeon, but a caring, kind person.

Dr. Millett surgically repaired my shoulder while he was at a major Boston hospital. I can not say enough about him, he is an outstanding surgeon and he genuinely cares about his patients. I lived for years in pain, other ortho surgeons said my case was to complicated seeing as how i had 5 previous surgical procedures on my shoulder, thanks to Dr. Millett i have been pain free since 2007 and have excellent range of motion and am back to work as a welder. If i ever need more work done on my shoulder i am flying out to Vail, Colorado, Thank you Dr. Millett ! ! !

Dr. Millett has performed an ACL reconstruction and a broken collar bone repair on me within the last 10 years. Absolutely no problems and a very quick recovery from both.
